Can. Pours a clear pale yellow with a bubbly white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has lots of corn and light sweet grain with a hint of sweetness. Flavor is similar with corn and straw up front and a touch of crispness in the finish.

24 oz can poured into a glass. Appearance is a nice clean gold with a slight white head. Aroma is grass, cereal, sugar, alcohol. Taste is sweet, corn, grass, grain. No skunk, which is nice. The sweetness is a bit much. But drinks pretty good on a warm day after a workout. Also goes good with a bit of dark chocolate.

Bottle thanks to somebody, rating from my backlog. The smell is grass, florals, weak. The look is clear, white head, yellow color. The taste is grass, floral, and yuck.

Not as bad as some of the rankings. If you are expecting a great craft beer. This will be disappointing. I'd you want something other than water after mowing the grass this will do fine.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 24 oz can. When in La Crosse... Pale gold pour with a small pure white head. Sweet grains, but no real character anywhere to be found. At least it isn’t skunky.

Nothing special, very little aroma, little taste, nothing offensive. At $11 a case it's really not bad for this style. But if I'm going to drink this style the extra money for a Grain Belt is worth it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had to try this just for the sheer novelty… a 24 ounce can of ahem, "beer", for LESS THAN a smaller quanity of bottled water! No alcohol content listed anywhere, is that legal? Plus, my can states "brewed by Universal Sales, Inc., La Crosse, WI". Anyhoo, pours a pale clear straw color, almost with a pistachio hue, and a small shortlived fizzy head. Sugary, corn, Yellow Delicious (yuck) apple, and metallic aroma. Flavorwise it’s maltier than I expected, albeit with butter, apple again, and a big sugary candycorn component, which lingers for eons. Rusty, cantaloupe, and cardboard aftertaste. Relatively thick palate for such a light colored beer, a bit of an oily texture. Pleasantly restrained carbonation (not fizzy). Hey, it’s INFINITELY better than anything with "bud" or "budweiser" in the name.

24 oz can pours a clear pale golden color with dissipating white head, no bubbles to watch, and very little lacing. Aroma is full of corn, apples and grain -very similar to the same brewery’s LaCrosse Lager. Tastes slightly sweet with a metallic and slightly bitter finish. Body is thin with lots of carbonation. There are much better lawnmower beers to be had, even at this low price point. Not quite a drain pour. I’m still a sucker for trying a $1.29 king can for the first time, expecting it to be horrible. Therefore, this one met my expectations.

Aroma was grassy with malts and grains in there. Taste was weak but had distinct combo of malts and grains with a very light hop finish. Palate was a bit watery - almost seemed like a light beer. Overall, this is an OK lawn mower lager.
