COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional German beer style that was all but extinct 30 years ago. An amazingly refreshing beer brewed with coriander and sea salt. The tart, dry finish combined with the hint of salt and citrus leaves your palate craving another sip.

8oz glass at a beer dinner. Pours a light hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma slightly funky. Flavor big salt hit under sour with coriander peeking through. Medium body. My first sour and a strange experience. This might drink really well on a hot summer day.

Bottle shared by Steve_0 at Zwanze Day. Thanks! Pours a somewhat hazy yellow appearance with a fizzy white head. Aroma has some funk, lemon tartness, coriander, and pepper. Low sweetness and bitterness. Pretty high carbonation. Some salt and coriander but neither is too strong. Lightly tart with some wheat and citrus notes. Refreshing. Pretty standard rendition of the style and that’s nice.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2014 Pour from bottle at Zwanze Day 2014. Pour is clear yellow with a big white head and good lacing. Biscuit, grassy, straw, dough, hay, and light spice in the aroma. Taste is slightly salty, some grass, biscuit, dough, light spice and straw with a lightly bitter finish. Light body with high carbonation. Pretty decent Gose.

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’14, day 2 as ’Dry Hopped Gose’, 13/08/14. Opaque yellow golden with moderate off white spotting/edgework. Nose is orange squash, lemon rind, light pine, juicy hop vibes, touch of pink grapefruit. Taste comprises tangerine, red grapefruit, light acidity, straw, good hop coating and a lick of pine. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Decent tasty affair but hopped to high heaven and nothing close to the real thing.

Good drinkable mild gose. Aroma is coriander, sulfur, lemon, and citric tartness. Taste is lightly tart and salty with a grainy cracker malt backbone. Good stuff.

[5670-20130817] Growler. Mild fruity smoked straw aroma. Slightly hazy, pale orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Lightly tart fruity yeast flavour has a bit of a lemon aftertaste. Medium body. Tasty. (7/3/7/4/15) 3.6

GBBF Day 2. Cask. As ’Dry Hopped Gose’. Clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, dry and airy and crisp. Savoury beer with a nice undertone of sherbet and then a slighty sour citrus and limey coriander. Light dry finish. Tasty and drinkable.

Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured a very cloudy yellow, with no head - kinda looked like eggnog. Aroma of citrus, apples and coriander. Bready flavours, yeast, fruits and definite salt. Finish was slightly sour, salty and with some banana.

Bottle, shared in a location remote to my dining room.
Pours a very hazy blonde with a small head.

The aroma is lactic, sort of yeasty, & yogurty... not especially bright but funky enough to be inviting.

The flavor is tart and salty, it’s dry with a nice moderate lemony sourness. Not terribly grainy but a little bit so.

I dig it.
