COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Ardennes Forrest is a region in Belgium where some of the world’s best beers are produced. We used these beers as inspiration in brewing this Belgian session ale. Petit Ardennes is a light bodied blonde beer with notes of spice, herb, and tropical fruit. A very easy drinking beer with a low alcohol content that still has great flavor.

Where and how: on tap at brewpub
Aroma rounded, soft feel. Hints of mango, sweet fruits, touch of peach and mild lemongrass. Absolutely easy going.
Appearance :
Top: medium sized, left rings on glass.
Base: hazy gold
Palate : soft, mild silky feel on semi dry body. Average plus finish. Soft top.
Taste: simply great. Enough character entered with out being heavy or tiresome. This is how beer should be. Nothing overdone in perfect balance of flavor, body and palate.

Tap at Ri Ra in Burlington. Pint glass. Hazy and unfiltered deep golden color. Nice quarter finger head. Aroma leans on lemony citrus hop notes. Taste is juicy with citrus at the forefront. Mild hop bitterness that sticks around to the finish. Mouthfeel is too thin for what I expected. I’m looking for more spicy notes or just more flavor in general. Coming away slightly disappointed. Could be the establishment.

Tap at ri ra in Burlington with commonmac and rosskyle and samadouche. Cloudy yellow with small white head. Citrus nose. Bitter, then tart. Fairly thin. Sharp. Tastes like a lemonade, which isn’t great.

Tap at Reservoir, Waterbury. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, some Belgian style and malts. Very weak Belgian style ale IMO. Belgian session ale? Sorry but this is little bit of disgrace.

On tap at The Reservoir, Waterbury, VT. I helped kill the keg. So they had it in a mason jar for me, the rest is based on observations. The appearance was basically a hazy burnt yellow color with a light transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising to fill a quickly dissipating white foamy head. Moderate lacing. The smell had some sweet citrus, light floral, and then some white pepper. Belgian sugars underneath. The taste was mainly sweet initially following through into the white pepper nicely. Light semi-sweet Belgian sugar aftertaste. Wet sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light and smooth. Nice stickiness. Not cloying, good. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Belgian ale that I would have again even if it wasn’t served in correct glassware.

Sampled @ pub A: Grapefruit, citrusy, light peppery app: hazy pale minimal white head t/p: med body with med bitter finish and touch of acidity. O: super good, pleasant hopiness. My kind of low abv beer no compromise on flavour. I could picture myself drinking this I daily basis.
