>> Clear golden yellow pour, weak foam. Spotty lace. Yellow apple and doughy nose. Taste is quite nice: malty and husky, lemon, biscuit, definitely in pilsner vein. Aroma really comes together up after decanting- slight funk, sourdough bread culture, Berliner sour mash. Taste is spot on with powerful grassy hops and big dry and grassy finish. Impressive.

My Bottom Line:
This crisp Pilsener presents spicy noble hops and crunchy cereals in a spritzy, slender mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty straw blond.
-This is an excellent quaffer.
-It feels more like an German Pils than a Czech brewpub Svetly.
-This is obviously very well balanced.

On tap at the brewery taproom.

Draft at Lost Nation. Yellow pour. Decent pils. Clean crisp, saaz bitterness. Pretty much what I say about every pilsner I rate

(Rating #5100)

Golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, pils malt, toast, light citrus. Taste of grass, citrus, honey, pils malt, toast, and a dry finish. Not a bad start for this new brewery.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with some soft, sudsy, lacing head. Nose is solid, very grainy, dry two row malt, a little cracker, soggy bread, bread yeast, some root veg, a little lemon as well. Flavor is spot on, grainy, bready, yeasty, cracker, malt, lemon. Clean finish. Really solid for the style.

Draught at Three Penny Taproom, 3/15/14
Deep burnished orange body is topped by a small white head showing moderate to low retention. High clarity.
Spring water, minerals, very light sourdough and some dry, herbal and peppery hop notes in the nose. Quite reserved, maybe a touch low on aroma but no flaws or alcohol noted.
Sourdough-like maltiness (munich or vienna) up front is appropriate and leads to a softer, pils malt-like sweetness that is brushed with pepper and light herbal hoppiness. Clean, rather watery and a touch light on the carbonation, or perhaps it’s just a little loose/fizzy, leading to being a little "heavier" than it actually is (and not producing as strong an aroma). Still, this is nicely attenuated, very clean and hard to argue with. Following up HF Susan is a tough act to follow, as well.
Agree with Martin, this seems more of a classic German Pils than it does a svetly.

on draft at craft beer cellar, this one was bad, caustic and out of balance with an astringent malt falvor. Not a fan at all.

On tap at The Farmhouse Tap - Burlington, VT. Light salty cracker aroma. Flavors are clean and presentable. This is well brewed, but the quality of the pilsner malt doesn’t just quite shine through and it seems a tiny bit heavy. I like it, it’s 95% of the way to being fantastic, awesome summer pilsner, but there’s an emergent fourth dimension missing, maybe the water profile?

Sampled at the brewery. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of pils malts, grains and grass. Flavor or pils malts, grains, grassy hops and had a wisp of lemon.
