COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With double the malt and triple the hops, this ale, with its powerful flavor and rich color, soars over a standard IPA. Columbus and Amarillo hops provide the intense bitterness and aroma. Pale and Crystal malts contribute sweetness to the Citrusy hop attack. Drink with Caution!

From a bomber shared at home. Pours a hazy light copper with a thick off white head. Earthy aroma. Flavors of citrus and pine. Boozy and slightly bitter finish.

Sampled during CBC 2013. Amber orange pour with a small khaki head. Light citrus in the aroma, some hoppiness, a bit too much malt and caramel for me. Better flavor, nice bitterness, more citrus hop punch with some melon and tropical fruits, dank, resin. Not bad!

Hard to believe this is made right here in Northern Virginia. Very nice. Hoppy and sweet. Yummy. Available in bottles at Whole Foods. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Clear gold color, ample head. Sharp citrus and pine hops, bitter finish but pleasant. All around good strong IPA.

22oz bottle. Cloudy yellow with only a thin ring of white head. Bright fresh hop aroma, but not really much malt. Light body dominated by up-front hop bitterness. Not bad, but there really isn’t anything complex about this. There is not malt balance. This is - as described on the label - a citrusy hop attack.

On tap at the brewery. Light orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma is pine resin, light citrus, a bit orangey. Flavor is a little overly sweet. Slightly cloying. Ok, but could use more balance.

On tap at Churchkey. Hazy orange body. Slight head. Nose is malty and caramel. Texture is unfiltered, yeasty. Smooth and creamy. Taste is of citrus and hops aplenty.

On cask pint pour at Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC. Cloudy, copper-orange with a small off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of huge pine, citrus and caramel. Taste of tropical fruit, orange, citrus, pine and caramel. Full/medium body and low carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle@ RBBSG, Courtesy of Travlr. Dark blond to light amber coloured beer. Small yeast parts. Small whitehead. Light yeasty malty hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. FInish is sweet bitter balanced with a herby hoppy yeasty bitter hoppy ending. Ok.

Super hazy golden honey coloured body with a thin, fast-dying white head. Aroma of pungent alcohol, pine, grapefruit, a bit of sugars and a definite medicinal quality. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong medicinal flavour with a ton of pungent hops, resin, grapefruit and floral notes with a lot of alcohol, malt and some caramel flavours as well - potent as hell. Aftertaste is deep and strong with the hops hitting first, but the malt and alcohol not far behind, and the medicinal and deep flavours lasting quite a long time - strong. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA, but way too many flavours and too much of a deep, bittering medicinal and metallic flavour and too much alcohol to make this really good. Nice to sample, but not worth sampling or trying to find at all reall. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 20-March-2012 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 09-September-2012.
