2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 kevnic2008 (1790) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - APR 24, 2011
Aqueous foam with less durability. Strong aroma roasted malts and a bit watery taste. All in all, the beer is not impressed and joins into the mediocrity.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 kappldav123 (3298) - Markkleeberg, GERMANY - APR 11, 2011
Bottle at home. Looks good. Beer in the glass quite dark, almost black, small head. Aroma very roasty-malty, burnt, way too much. Also starts smokey-burnt, then softer malty. Also with some sourish fruity notes like plums. Finish unbalanced, still too sourish. Better then the Hell, but still not really good.

Dark brown color, small brown head. Chocolate, some roasted coffee beans in the otherwise malty nose. Chocolaty dark malty, caramelly with soft palate. Decent dunkles. Both sampled Lotters beers were quite pleasant.
