COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lousiane Dark Lager is a complex black beer with earthy roasted and chokolate notes. The depth of flavour is balanced by New Zealand Willamette hops to create a beer that goes well with dark meat dishes and stews. A dry light finish matches this beer equally well with a chokolate dessert. Colour: 80 EBC Bitterness: 23 IBU ABV: 5.0%

A clear dark brown colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of roasted malts notes of coffee and chocolate. The taste is gentle bitter, a bit dry, rosted malts with chocolate notes. The aftertaste of bitter hints of sweet.

Dark brown with golden-brown accents. Chocolatey aroma with light toast is almost porterish. Rich chocolatey character is soft, sweet and smooth. Nice light acidic bit at the end makes this very moreish. Might be Vietnam’s best brew.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2009 Draft @ brewpub. Highlight of the Louisiane portfolio. Opaque dark brown, glowing mahogany with thick tan head. Clean, chocolate aroma has cola, asphalt, more chocolate, coffee, and wood. Clean, easy-going and mild carbonation. High drinkability. flavors beat the aromas with lots of mocha cake but dry, not sweet. Coal, nicely roasted coffee. Toasty and tasty. Pint after pint it gets better and better. Quaffable dry dunkel with excellent chocolate flavors. Revisiting proves this a winner.

Draught at Louisiane Brewhouse, Nha Trang. Appears dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate, coffee and vegemite (must be an Aussie brewer). Smooth and bitter finish. The pick of the bunch from this brewer.
