bottle, bought at the brewery. Golden yellow, large and persistent white head. Malty aroma. Well-balanced malty and hoppy flavour with a bitter-sweet character. Astonishingly full of flavour, not as watery as some other 10°, and definitely very moreish. One of the best 10° I’ve ever tried - brilliant!

Farblich ist es kräftig Gold, die Schaumkrone ist nicht so gut-mittelmäßig. Geschmacklich wird es durch den Hopfen und die Würzigkeit geprägt, im Nachgeschmack ist es ein wenig bitter und wässrig. Fazit: Ordentlich! Test vom 28.2.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,11,11,9,13,11 - 10,60

Bottled, brought from Budyně nad Ohří. Clear golden color. decent bitterness. ("Sametová hořkost".) very boring and average for me anyway.

500ml bottle @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Old bottle (at 4.1%), not sure where from. Darkish gold in colour. Smells pretty bad - very oxidized and cardboardy. Tastes rather better - bready malts and breakfast cereal with a lick of bitter hops. A little residual sweetness in the mouthfeel. Would have been doubtful about rating this in view of the age except that I’m not sure it’s made any more. And, to be hoenst, the other Louny beers I’ve tried were no great shakes even when fresh.

Bottle 500ml. @ ChrisOs - Christmas Tasting.

Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, toffee, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20101228]

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear gold beer. Short lived white head. Very light palate. Mild sweet toffee malt. Trace of orange hop. Light dry finish. Insubstantial and dull.

I really like this. Light, golden brown in colour; has an almost honey smell to it, bitter, malty; tastes pretty much as it smells with a delicious honey-malt taste to it; slightly bitter after taste; light fizz.

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, golden colour with a short foamy white layer. Sweet, bready malty nose, slightly buttery with honey and a shy but noticeable, slightly floral hoppy touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Bready, slightly cara-malty and a bit honey-fruity taste; dry, malty, moderately hoppy finish. Okay.
