3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Quevillon (2014) - Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 6, 2011
Drank at Bières & Saveurs de Chambly 2011, on September 4. Blonde somewhat hazy, moderate head. Aroma of wheat and malted barley, a little spicy. Taste of wheat and herbs a little dry but spicy, few notes of ginger, a dry bitterness. Very different but interesting as wheat ale!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (7003) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 17, 2009
A hazy blonde ale with a super thick white head. A nice herbal malt aroma with light berry notes. In mouth, a nice malty ale with light herbal sourish notes, fruity esters, berries, not bad. On tap at Fête Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 4 2009.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (4783) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 23, 2009
In short: A fruity and hoppy refreshing wheat beer. Nice thirst quencher
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear yellow-blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The nose has tangerines, lemon, bananas with some floral hops (garden flower aroma) and a light spicy note of coriander (probably too light for the beer to be spicy). Taste has all of the above with the addition of pineapples and a stronger focus on the floral hops. Juicy floral hops distant reminder of my beloved Dernière Volontée. Rather tasty and nourishing for the style, especially considering the low abv. More refreshing than an octomom joke during a two hour long state of the economy address.

(Rating #2117)

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line :
Cushy cereals and the subtle fruitiness of citrus fruit and bananas thrive in the pillowy and comely body of this quenching American-style Wheat Ale, as spicy hoppiness colours a minutious finish.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy blond, producing some lacing.
-I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed an American Wheat this much!
-The mouthfeel on this one is a wonder to behold for its size and style.
-The cereal flavors continue well after the sip is long gone.
On tap at the brewpub.
