| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2009 A hazy and translucent golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a nice yeasty and spiced aroma, with herns and orange peels, very fresh. In mouth, a crisp start followed by nice herbs coriander, and orange pulp. Light hopping. Another nice summer pleaser. On tap at brewpub, May 9 2009. Glouglouburp (2822), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 23, 2009 In short: A light abv Saison with a big body and a whole lot of dry grassy hops. Kick-ass.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Very cloudy dark blonde body topped by small off-white head with good retention
In long: A nice barnyard nose. Body is surprisingly big, almost heavy, for a 4.5% brew. Those semi-toasted soft cereals/hay and yeast give a bready and doughy texture and flavour. Not super-wild but has a real nice barnyard character. A good lemony meringue taste with a refreshing light acidity. A then the hops, a truckload of hops. I like my Saisons dry and here its the hops that are taking care of business with a dry grassy finish with a sharp bitterness. I could drink that beer all day long, and at 4.5% I could even wake-up the day after with someone I remember. Or at least someone of the right sex. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

(Rating #2073) MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Updated: Jan 18, 2009My Bottom Line :
Prominent cereals jam with green, wooden hops and their stirring bitterness until the very end of each sip, as plantain esters jazz things up and a huggable body certifies this Saison’s nourishing abilities.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A creamy sheet of foam stands atop the misty pale amber, drawing beautiful strands of lacing.
-Bubblegum phenols mostly appear in the nose; I would have liked to taste them in the flavour profile as well.
-The body on this nicely rounded while remaining amazingly drinkable. This may be its most North American feature.
-I would probably tone down the hoppy finish - for my tastes - or at least change for a spicier, more delicate varietal.
