COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Collaboration with Bobcat Cafe of Bristol, Vermont. Zusammenarbeit is the German word for collaboration or "working together". German-inspired Gose. A complex style of ale that has malted barley and malted wheat, as well as wheat berries that were soured by Vermont wild yeast. Lightly salted and spiced with a small amount of coriander, this unfiltered offering balances the sharp sourness with a sparkling effervescence.

(1211-300814)

On tap at Gainsbourg. Cloudy blonde with a thin ring of white foam. Flavors are wheat, lemon, lime and coriander with herbal notes. Good acidity, slight saltiness. Light body, moderate carbonation, thin texture. Highly refreshing.

I really think this beer was infected? I’ll have to try it another time to give it another chance.

On tap. Very good gose. Medium acidity. Low on salt. Head disappear very quickly. Citrus. Coriander. Could almost be mistaken for a berliner weisse.

On tap at gainbourg. Cloudy pale yellow with a white head. Salty tart with some wheat, bit of candied sugar, dry, great balance, moderate carbonation and fresh / light body. Some lemon, pepper on the finish. Refreshing and good.

On tap at BDT (Gatineau, QC). Hazy pale blond body with a thin white creamy head. Light, fresh malty/hoppy aroma with herbal and bready hints. Taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It carries salty and citrusy notes. Ends with a sharp, long sour finish. Well done.

Blé cru, infusion lactique franche unie aux notes salines. Buvabilité de haute voltige.

In short: A salty wheat ale, simple beer that does everything well.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose is wheat with a light musky character and the expected salty notes. In mouth the beer has an expansive foamy body filling the mouth with its light silky texture. Taste is spot on. A lot of fresh wheat, a very very mild acidity, just the right amount of salt, some lactic notes reminiscent of plain yogurt, light coriander-ish spiciness. Did not have the tartness I usually get from all the Goses I’ve been drinking lately (a style that seems to be making a comeback). Lovely summer beer. The world would be a much better place if the person who came up with the name of this beer was put in charge in naming ordinary household objects.
