Bottle (aged a bit) thanks to Eric. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet bananas, some spiciness, dusty. A rich robust flavor; mostly dry banana esters, some heat, dry earthiness. Quite enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Dirty straw, hazy, moderate white head, foamy, nice lacing.   Floral and bready on the nose.   Fairly bright with a sweet tartness.   Sweetness on the nose, soft floral aspects, pale breadiness, a little perfume.   Reminds me of a Saison crossed with a Tripel.   This one is fairly tasty.   Only wished I had the cheese to pair it with.   Soft on the tongue, a little bubbley.   A little tart, slightly dry, this one is quite interesting.   Floral finish, sweet, lingering grassiness.   I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would.   Would seek out again for sure.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lots of raisins and light malt. Itís not a bad beer, just kinda simple. It reminds me of Valley Brewís Decadent Evil. I have no idea how this beer is supposed to compliment cheese; personally, Iíd take the Flemish Primitive line for that job. Anyway, the beer is golden and a touch cloudy from some suspended yeast. It has a nice creamy white head. The aroma is just raisins, malt and a touch of grassy/citric hops. Taste is mild to medium sweet. Itís fairly well carbonated - lots of little prickly bubbles. Not my favorite from de Proef, but Iím still a fan.
