Bottle courtesy of thirdeye11. Golden yellow pour. Sweet aroma, of lazy hops and perfume. Taste is sweet and spicy. Flavorful and spicy but sits well when finishes.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a huge, foamy white head and a hazy golden body. Aroma is strongly hoppy with pine, followed by a grainyness and brown sugar. Taste is sugar, pine hops and grain. Belgian IPA? Light bubbles and low residual sugars.

A great "cheese" beer. Pairs very well with the right cheese and the right setting. Pours a dirty honey color. Flavor is a light honey and malt flavor with notes of clove, clover and some fruit. Finishes clean.

marcus (6015) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 26, 2009
This cloudy light amber beer poured with a thin off-white head and a very aromatic toffee nose. There is a great caramel malt flavor that starts sweet and turns pleasantly bitter at the finish. This beer was made to go with cheese, and it worked well with some Cowgirl Creamery Red Hawk and Mt. Tam.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours a hazy tea color with very little off-white head. Very soft and fruity aromas. Medium body with sparkling carbonation. Much flavor is lighter stone fruit - like peach or apricot. Arguably a hint of funk in the background. Astringent. Goes well with Cowgirl RedHawk and Mt Tam cheeses. Finishes mildy sweet. Very tasty.

Poured a bit darker then I expected. Predominate flavor is honey, but not in an overtly sweet way.

Pours a hazy apricot-orange with a medium white head. Very nice and adequate aroma of berries and other dark fruits, candy sugar, sweet malts. Nice. Flavor repeats the aromas but adds just the right amount of hop bitterness. Full mouthfeel, medium carbo. A very elegant, classy, reserved Belgian Strong here. Near-flawless technically, and nearso viscerally. I’m really surprised to see that others aren’t feeling this one as much as I am. Not a single negative thing can I point out about this one; damn underrated IMHO! While it won’t make my top ten, I could have this for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even with my Taco Bell 4th meal. One of the very best in this style. A pleasant surprise. Overall, world class minus. Thanks De Proef.

Almost clear dark golden color with a fleeting white head. Mild earthy pale malt, spicy hop aromas with some candi sugar. Smooth medium body. Flavor mirrors aroma with earthy pale malts spicy hops and mildly sweet candi sugar. Nice.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, leather. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090404]
