Big coffee roast aroma. Black rich on the palate and hoppy with a little dryness in a crisp and smooth roast finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is a nice coffee, and its appearance is not far off. There are layers of chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee in the start and the finish. The coffee flavors linger nicely on the palate. I noticed quite a few people getting seconds of this offering at the Texas Craft Brewers Festival. A wonderful beer.

Dark brown color. Boot and veggie/cream flavor.... No espresso in the nose, just some ugly faint burnt malts and a lot of butter. An unpleasent experience.

Average looking stout. I liked the nice roasted coffee in the flavor, which lasts into the smooth finish. Lovejoy’s is all about that random gem in the rough. Along with the Doom Vanilla Stout, I’ll keep coming back for more.
