Smell was a slight hint of alcohol, a good dose of hops. Don’t remember much about this other than it was way better than the Samsons pale on cask. This was drinkable, but nothing great.

Very dark murky brown, great lacing with some nice head head...Honey Molasses smell, no alcho present...very nice brew, pleasing and intoxicating, a winner from lovejoys!

Pour is deep clear amber with smallish tan head...taste is very bland...I really don’t see how on earth this is a barley wine...sour finish...

Had on tap at the brewpub/bar in Austin. Pours a dark ruby read with a somewat generous head and solid lacing. Aroma has some caramel and molasses accents, but not very potent. Flavor is slightly sweet, but not nearly malty enough or hoppy enough to rank up there with a good barley wine. Pales in comparison to their Old Vixen. Some brief raisin and molasses notes, brief tinge of chocolate. Drinkable and lacking that patented Lovey "house taste".
