COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented and maturated in oak vats. No adding yeast. Spontaneous fermentation because of adding freshly pressed Barbera grapes juice that contains the skins, directly from a viticulturist near Alba. Brewed once a year at vintage time obviously. Available in 375 ml or 750 ml bottles.

It’s a deep red colour with a small head of foam that shrinks quickly and ends up being gone. The smell is of tarty fruit, grapes that is, with more than a whiff of the oak aging. Tastes match the smell; grape tartness and well integrated oak/woody flavours. Good mouthfeel, the carbonation is on the very low side. It does drink stronger than the abv would suggest. This bottle from 2012 was very nice.

On tap at What’s Brewing beer festival 2014, Stavanger. Tasted the 2013 ed. Pours copper to red with no head. Aroma of "burnt dust", gooseberries, grapes -- reminds me more to wine than beer. Thin bodied. Interesting beer, however.

375 ml 2012, teku Pours a minimal frothy off white head, beautiful, and slightly cloudy, ruby colour. Smells very red fruity, piemonte wine grapes, noble woods, basement, wild bacteria; outstanding aroma. Tastes again very fruity, grape cherry raspberry, dried fruits, with an awesome winey and wooded finish, grapes tartness. Perfect amount of sweetness, followed by a lively but never overdone beautiful sour note. Less than medium, quite light, consistency body, which gives this brew a great drinkability, nice soft amount of carbonation. Described in 3 words, this beer is fruit, wine and wood. Much better than many "typical" spontaneous fermentation Belgian beers I’ve tried. Oustanding product

A bit hazy reddish/brown with a small head. Aroma of funk, grapes, wood and vinegar. Similar taste, also some berries. Dry and vinous. Tried 2012 and 2013 and the taste is a little bit more mellow and more well balanced as it has aged.

Bottle brewed in 2011. Poured into snifter. Pours a clear reddish color with a thin white head. Aroma - tart grape notes (definitely barbera), sour, some funk. Taste - sour fruit notes, lots of farmyard funk. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. The fruit notes are grape, cherry and maybe some raspberry. The Italian beer scene has come very far in such a short span of time. This is really a good beer.

At Eurhop festival in Rome-ITALY. Pours reddish brown, cloudy with a small bubbling foam which leaves soon. Nose is macerated grapes, vinegar, cellar. Mouth is refreshing overall: palate of de meeting most and moderate sourness. Lovely ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at CBC 2014. Murky red liquid with a medium off-white head. Aroma of raspberries, wood, lemon, apples and vinegar. Taste is dry and medium sour with notes of raspberries, wood and lemon. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Sample at Mikkeller bar. pours hazy light pink somewhat clearish. Notes are ultra funky grapes, lactic acid, and a weird peanut yeast suspension type note or maybe it’s roasty malt which wouldn’t make much sense. Too much of a bite for me in the finish and residually In the chest.

Almost clear red with a ring off white head. Aroma of tart red fruits, light funk. Flavour is light to moderat sweet and light moderate sour. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
