COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented and maturated in oak vats. No adding yeast. Spontaneous fermentation because of adding freshly pressed Barbera grapes juice that contains the skins, directly from a viticulturist near Alba. Brewed once a year at vintage time obviously. Available in 375 ml or 750 ml bottles.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2012 On tap at Borefts 2011. Unique, a plum lambic. Deep ruby colour and very pleasant aroma of the deep darkfruits. Medium mouthfeel, loads of dark fruit (especially the prune and grape) and a nice lingering acidic aftertaste.

Pours a deep red purple grape color with no visible head... aromas are grape, dark fruit, oak and a little bit of dusty earth. On the palate there is a ton of fruit... cranberry tartness, grape sweetness, dark plum, touch of cider... it like a fruit basket in a glass but not overly sweet. Nice tartness and a lingering earthy tea like quality make this a real treat !

Scopey (7054) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2012
Bottle from GBBF. It pours cloudy deep purple, with no head. The nose is juicy red grape, dark fruit, yoghurt, light farmyard and wood. The taste is red grape, lip-smacking tartness, cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, wood, lemon and light acidity, with a smooth finish. Medium body, low carbonation and well balanced. Delicious, smooth and highly drinkable stuff.

Bottle: Poured a clear reddish color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of oak and tart notes is very interesting with subtle acidic notes. Taste is a nice mix between loads of oak which brings out cherry tart notes with a light acidic finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Another great sour from this brewery though I must admit that there is quite a few resemblances between their Flanders Red.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe, King’s Lynn; vintage 2010, batch PBBE02-0111
Cloudy brown color; almost no head. Aroma of plastic, sweet caramel, fruits, flesh, nice grape. Good body strength; the mouthfeel is quite dry, and there is a very nice presence from the red wine, dynamic; may it have a very light final astringency.
Very good.

Bottle shared by Frank, thanks! Pours a clear a hazy purple with a white head that dissipates completely and quickly. Aroma has a good amount of grapes that are somewhat sour but a hint of sweetness. Flavor has a good amount of sour grapes that mellow into a bit of a sweet red grape note.

poured from 375 into a tulip. Pours a dark red color with a small head. Good dark red fruit aromas with some tart aromas of leather, dark red cherries and some funk. real nice medium body with a good tartness to it. Not overly tart though with good flavors of funk, leather, and dark red fruits. An extremely good sour styled beer. Not cheap, but still a real good beer.

Cloudy amber beer. No head. Light sour nose. Crisp light palate. Pleasantly lightly sour with a little tangy grape tartness. A little lactose sweetness in there as well. Finishes crisp. A sweetish winey sort of beer and unlike anything I’ve had before. Crisp, tart and sweet and unusual. Could drink loads of this!
