Fermented and maturated in oak vats. No adding yeast. Spontaneous fermentation because of adding freshly pressed Barbera grapes juice that contains the skins, directly from a viticulturist near Alba. Brewed once a year at vintage time obviously. Available in 375 ml or 750 ml bottles.

Thank BeerandBlues2! Brownish red pour with a small white head. Lots of vinous fruitiness, grapes, cherry, and acetic Flemish red notes. Medium to thin palate with a dry finish.

Thanks to BeerandBlues2 for this one! Gorgeous garnet pour, small head. Nose and flavor are marked by heavy vinous notes, concord grape, cherry, and nice funk; sort of like a wino’s Flemish red. A bit thin on the mouthfeel. Still decent.

Bottle. Pours clear ruby with a medium, fizzy off-white head, medium retention with spare lacing. Aroma is cherry, raspberry, barnyard, nutty, phenolic, and grassy hops. Flavor is phenolic, bandaids and medicinal, dark fruits, toast and cookie malt, lactic sourness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth.

dark ruby, thin white ring for a head. Heavy fruit cherry sweetness, bit hot, sweet medicinal. Bit celery, spritzy cherry, high carbonation, brown sugar and pale malt dough bread through the finish, heavy sugar and light alcohol. Have yet to find an Italian sour that blows me away, this, like most, an odd contrast of flavors trying to find a body that matches.

375mL thanks to beerandblues2. Pours a deep purple with a pink head. Awesome color. Concord grape nose with odd band-aid phenols. Mild plastic phenol nose. Taste is very nutty....feels like Italian chestnut beer again with barely any grape character. Super weird.

Dark pink pour. Peppery aroma with some funk. Flavor is lightly sweet with tons of pepper. Grape notes and a moderate bitter finish. Not bad.

Color is clear amber, with aromas of light malt and citrus. Flavors are sour grapes, some raspberry, making for a tart, lambic-like beer. Very sad to see the bottom of the bottle. Can’t wait to have it again.

375 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, brewed 2010. ABV is 8%. Cloudy dark red colour, pink head disappears completely after a minute. Strong and intense vinous aroma, notes of red wine vinegar, oak and farmhouse. The flavour is also vinous, tart and medium sour, oaky notes. Very moderate hops. Does not taste as strong as 8%, nor by my own buzz-o-meter.

Wenig kirschiger Antrunk mit herben Noten. Die Säure ist hierbei leider nebensächlich. Das Bier ist sehr trocken, zum Ende ist die Frucht kaum mehr vorhanden. 8/8/8/7//8
