Fermented and maturated in oak vats. No adding yeast. Spontaneous fermentation because of adding freshly pressed Barbera grapes juice that contains the skins, directly from a viticulturist near Alba. Brewed once a year at vintage time obviously. Available in 375 ml or 750 ml bottles.

Tap. Poured a hazy dark red copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy sour fruit aroma. Medium to abundant body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

4oz on tap at Liberty’s, for $5. Hazy red orange color. Good amount of off-white head. Bartenders were having trouble pouring this one (burping and excessive foam). Really interesting flavor. Big sourness, significant moderate sweet too, and some saltiness? Some creme to the flavor, mild cheese, touch of vanilla, mild dark fruit. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Slick syrupy finish. Solid, interesting sour. Grew on me as I went.

Pachnie jak najlepsze czerwone wina, lekko taninicznie, ciemne leśne owoce, nuty granata, ale to nie wszystko, ponieważ jest to spojone świetną zbożową nutą przypominającą świeżo upieczone ciasto. Do tego lekka derka. Jest genialnie. W smaku wytrawnie, wyraźnie kwaskowo, nuty winogronowe dopiero w posmaku, wyraźne drewno i nuty wanilii, nieco karmelowej słodowości, alkohol lekko głaszcze podniebienie. Ambrozja. Jedyny minus - wygląd. Wysokie szampańskie wysycenie, piana także jak na szampanie, czyli trzyma się przez 3 sekundy.

750ml in Dublin, shared with ACD, cheers Alex
hazy mid amber brown with frothy beige head. Acidic lightly sour fruity, medium bodied, brown, long fruity finish. Oaky notes, good stuff.

It’s a deep red colour with a small head of foam that shrinks quickly and ends up being gone. The smell is of tarty fruit, grapes that is, with more than a whiff of the oak aging. Tastes match the smell; grape tartness and well integrated oak/woody flavours. Good mouthfeel, the carbonation is on the very low side. It does drink stronger than the abv would suggest. This bottle from 2012 was very nice.

On tap at What’s Brewing beer festival 2014, Stavanger. Tasted the 2013 ed. Pours copper to red with no head. Aroma of "burnt dust", gooseberries, grapes -- reminds me more to wine than beer. Thin bodied. Interesting beer, however.

375 ml 2012, teku Pours a minimal frothy off white head, beautiful, and slightly cloudy, ruby colour. Smells very red fruity, piemonte wine grapes, noble woods, basement, wild bacteria; outstanding aroma. Tastes again very fruity, grape cherry raspberry, dried fruits, with an awesome winey and wooded finish, grapes tartness. Perfect amount of sweetness, followed by a lively but never overdone beautiful sour note. Less than medium, quite light, consistency body, which gives this brew a great drinkability, nice soft amount of carbonation. Described in 3 words, this beer is fruit, wine and wood. Much better than many "typical" spontaneous fermentation Belgian beers I’ve tried. Oustanding product

A bit hazy reddish/brown with a small head. Aroma of funk, grapes, wood and vinegar. Similar taste, also some berries. Dry and vinous. Tried 2012 and 2013 and the taste is a little bit more mellow and more well balanced as it has aged.
