Saeglopur (959) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - JUN 7, 2015
Draught at Ranzani 13, Bologna.
Dark amber body, with a small, frothy head.
Aroma of barrel, red wine, sour berries, ripe fruits, vinegar, some leather.
Taste follows this, maybe a bit lighter, with some more sour citrus.
Quite light mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes sour, wooden, fruity, with vinegar and some leather.

Very nice. Pretty much a Sour Red/Brown in my opinon. Not the best beer of this style I’ve had, but fresh, quite complex and comfortable.

Draft pour from notes. Pours a slightly hazy amber/copper color with a foamy off white head. The aroma and flavor have musty grapes, a decent tart/sour character, rose wine, grass, some oak notes, some dark fruit/berries, a touch of lactic sour notes, slick, syrupy feel.

Keg at the Grove Inn, Huddersfield. Reddish brown shade with absolutely zero head. Nose is lightly spicy, hedgerow fruity. Taste is a nice combination of cherry and grape with some light chocolate notes lurking. Only mildly sour and quite drying. Fairly intriguing but not amazing.
