The sour pours perfect crimson amber with a bubbly pink off white head that is like crystal diamond bubbles as it swirls around the glass - HOW’S THAT FOR SPONTANEOUS FERMENTATION? The aroma is sour, a bit band-aid, and fresh berries blended splendidly. The flavor is more sour than tart with delicious grapes, a light amount of band-aid that works well with the sour and oak notes.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2012 La perfetta unione tra una grande birra e una tra le uve più pregiate del Piemonte. Ne vien fuori una simil-lambic, ma senza eccessi, birra eccezionale, indimenticabile.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2012 On tap at Borefts 2011. Unique, a plum lambic. Deep ruby colour and very pleasant aroma of the deep darkfruits. Medium mouthfeel, loads of dark fruit (especially the prune and grape) and a nice lingering acidic aftertaste.

Color is clear amber, with aromas of light malt and citrus. Flavors are sour grapes, some raspberry, making for a tart, lambic-like beer. Very sad to see the bottom of the bottle. Can’t wait to have it again.

Grandissima birra di Loverier a "fermentazione spontanea", che dà i tratti di un progetto partito già con i suoi capolavori, come la letteratura greca comincia da Omero.

Bottle 37,5 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours a reddish amber with a slight haze and an off-white head. A little barnyard in the nose, very dry with some fruit. Surprisingly light-bodied, light and refreshing again with Brett and fruit. Dry finish. Extremely delicious - like a good Fruit Lambic really. 030610

In short: A great moderately funky/barnyard and very crisp refreshing fruit beer.
How: Bottle 375ml. Shared by/with the owner of Domus Birrae (Rome Italy) on location
The look: Clear dark pink body topped by a medium be head
In long: Nose is a bit funky, very bright and with vibrant red fruits. Taste has plenty of fruits but not specifically grapes (I believe it is made with grapes). Cherries, various tropical fruits, strawberries, red grapes, etc. The nice barnyard/attic character dries out the beer and makes it all too easy to drink. A light acidic and sourness touch. The carbonation/mouthfeel is very lively. Overall extremely crisp and clean despite being a bit funky. Although this is a spontaneous fermentation beer, this is miles away from a real fruit lambic. This is scarily sessionnable. Underrated. You can feel that a lot of effort went into that original creation. This is a new brewery and beer quality is obviously a top priority. Marketing and coming up with a good brewery name, not so much.

Had the morning before we left New Orleans @ the Avenue Pub .. . light cherry skin, grape skin, and light funk .. quite tart but balanced .. . like a smoother more grapey rodenbach classic .. . a beut . .. . why is everybody else naked?
