COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"L’utilizzo, unico nel suo genere, di susine damaschine rende questa straordinaria birra ricchissima di calde e sensuali note fruttate che sanno contrastare le nette, seppur mai troppo aggressive, punte di acidulo e di citrico. Sorprende, nel palato, un equilibrio notevole, inusuale per birre con un PH così basso, equilibrio assicurato da una notevole pienezza e da un fruttato così imponente da farsi ricordare a lungo." - Lorenzo Dabove in arte Kuaska

2011 bottle at Monks. Thought it might be too cold to start but a wonderful aroma off the top. Hazy pink peach amber with a beige foamy ring. Fantastic plum, current and cherry flavors. Sour floral. Great body. Balanced just right. Rich and tremendous. Best Italian beer I have ever had!

Bottled shared by Bierkonijn. Hazy reddish brown color, short head. Aroma is tart, bretty and loads of plums. Soft bitterness, medium sourness. Very fruity of the plums. Easy to drink with the medium sourness and no excessive sweetness like some Belgian brews.

Bov (8268) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 23, 2013
from Erzbierschof - clear reddish beer with no foam left; pretty sourish nose; notes of citrus, herbs and cherries, light notes of oak; a subtle sourness, a medium malt backbone, very dry and long sourish lemony and cherry-ish aftertaste with woody notes in the background - subtlety, character and class: a great beer !

Pours hazy brown into a snifter. Head quickly dissipates to hug rim. Ripe plum and oak aromas. Thin and soft with sour plum and berries front to back and into the lasting dusty oak finish.

Draft. A red beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of cherries, brettanomyces, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of cherries, wood, brettanomyces, and fruits, leading to a tart finish.

Dejlig sur duft. Bær og overmoden frugt. Rødlig uklar. Smager bær og sød krydderi. Fantastisk eftersmag. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Rated on 28.2.2013.
Pours an orange colour with a large foamy head. Aroma is something quite unique and very promising; intense raspberries, gooseberry bush, grass, citrus and caramel. Flavour is sour and juicy sweet with berries, citrus, nettles and some sweetness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a sour, berryish, herbal finish. Good drinkability and the sourness wasn’t too aggressive.

Draft pour at Chez Moeder Lambic. It has a deep copper body with a slight haze and supporting a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet candy cherry to prune with some sour and slight vinegar notes around the edges. The taste begins with a brief fruity prune note that moves into vinegar and then increasing levels of tartness. Pretty crisp and not really over tart, which is good for me.

Aroma, come poi anche il gusto molto delicato dolcino e acido che si sposano alla perfezione! Rossa rubino, poca pochissima schiuma, poco persistente! Dal retrugusto estremamente delicato e duraturo!
