COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"L’utilizzo, unico nel suo genere, di susine damaschine rende questa straordinaria birra ricchissima di calde e sensuali note fruttate che sanno contrastare le nette, seppur mai troppo aggressive, punte di acidulo e di citrico. Sorprende, nel palato, un equilibrio notevole, inusuale per birre con un PH così basso, equilibrio assicurato da una notevole pienezza e da un fruttato così imponente da farsi ricordare a lungo." - Lorenzo Dabove in arte Kuaska

75cl bottle. 2010 vintage. Pours a hazy bright orange color with a thin off-white head. Foam is extremely fizzy and dissolves quickly. Aroma is sweet-sour with some funk. The star in the nose are definitely the plums, with a fruity bouquet dominated by peach and plum notes. Some apricots too. Taste is vinous and sour. The sour note is gentle but present and adds some funk and barnyard. Red wine and berries, some aprico ts again and hints of strawberries. A bit of fruity sweetness and a dry finish. Great balance. Body is medium and carbonation is soft. Overall, this beer presents a perfect balance between sour and sweet, funk and fruit. And it’s damn tasty too.

Bottle at home. Brewed in 2010. A dull amber colour, hazy, and with no head at all (!). Medium carbonation. The aroma send me on a fruity trip along sweet berries of cherries, gooseberries and blackcurrant. Hint of orange. In the end I feel smells of a classic flemish sour ale with oak and rowanberriers. In the flavour the order has changed with the a taste of very sour bitter berries at first, and with a more sweet berry touch of strawberries in the end. Hint of spices all the way. A soft and vinous mouthfeel. Overall a sour ale with a lot of taste with a pretty sour touch, and with interesting fruity elements. I think this would be a good companion to food.

(750ml bottle, BB 2013) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of vinous, plum, barnyard, and horse blanket. Flavor of vinous, earth, plum, brett, berries, and wood with a dry red wine finish.

375 ml bottle. Almost clear reddish body with a small, diminishing white head. Aroma is fruity acidic, a bit like candy, but not in a bad way. Flavor is acidic fruity, red berries, not really funky and almost artificial. Still a refreshing and nice flavor. Different and exiting.

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Cloudy amber beer, no head. No carbonation. Mild sourness, nice! Nice plummy fruits. Feels a bit winey but that’s a good thing here. Semi dry finish.

375 ml green bottle, vintage 2010, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 6.2%. Hazy orange to brown colour, very low off-white head. Strong sourish & sweetish aroma with notes of plums, wine vinegar and peaches, also hints of horse stable, oak and farmhouse kitchen. Sweet & sour flavour, notes of peaches, vinegar and oak again. Minimal bitterness, dry finish. Not really my cup of tea.
