COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
- Lorenzo Dabove in arte Kuaska

thx to tderoeck for the bottle who got it from Manuele, the owner of “Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà” in Rome // 2011 Vintage // 75 cl. bottle split mainly between tderoeck, Martinus & me during the Italian Beer Festival @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas // possibly the second batch of this so far // candy-tastic amber ruby, not an easy to describe colour but maybe candy-like?, head is only small bubbles on the side // (s) first thought prunes, followed very quickly by candy, very fruity prunes, mixed with quite a bit of gelatine base candy, touch sweet spices, no sour on the nose, damn, that is a nice smell // fruity prunes, lots of candy blended in, light, nicely balanced, green apple acid undercurrent riding along, not really sour instead green apple skins acidity, lots of candy & real berries // smooth, substantial slick body, not much carb. // nice, nice // thx for this one

Susine damaschine.

Rossa rubino, poca pochissima schiuma, poco persistente! Dal retrugusto estremamente delicato e duraturo!

10oz pour at Max’s. Aroma is perfume, plum, acidity. Flavor is the back of the throat tingle, dry, then an explosion of fruit esters, specifically plum, and a complex drying finish. Amazing.

Poured with a nice, tight, small, off white head that quickly subsided and no lace. Color is a hazy/cloudy honey amber. Aroma is a divine with the sour, plums, malt with the plumbs and sour way at the top and very aromatic, like a cologne. Flavor’s similar to nose without the lofty components. Body and carbonation are perfect for style. Finish is like flavor, clean, balanced, and of good length.

Draft @ Cantillon Quintessence 2012.

from Erzbierschof - clear reddish beer with no foam left; pretty sourish nose; notes of citrus, herbs and cherries, light notes of oak; a subtle sourness, a medium malt backbone, very dry and long sourish lemony and cherry-ish aftertaste with woody notes in the background - subtlety, character and class: a great beer !

2012 vintage. Cloudy orange/brown pour with minimal tan head. Perfume and plums on the nose with floral notes. Quite sour on the palate with those plum and perfume notes shining through. There’s also lacto and wood on the palate. Super great and interesting stuff.

75cl bottle. 2010 vintage. Pours a hazy bright orange color with a thin off-white head. Foam is extremely fizzy and dissolves quickly. Aroma is sweet-sour with some funk. The star in the nose are definitely the plums, with a fruity bouquet dominated by peach and plum notes. Some apricots too. Taste is vinous and sour. The sour note is gentle but present and adds some funk and barnyard. Red wine and berries, some aprico ts again and hints of strawberries. A bit of fruity sweetness and a dry finish. Great balance. Body is medium and carbonation is soft. Overall, this beer presents a perfect balance between sour and sweet, funk and fruit. And it’s damn tasty too.
