COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Omaggio alle oud bruin fiamminghe che si manifesta soprattutto all’olfatto nel contrasto tra le note dolci di caramello e quelle acidulo-lattiche. Nel palato i sapori vinosi dalla maturazione in botte ci introducono ad un piacevole fruttato di ciliegia e uva sultanina con un finale caratterizzato da una lieve astringenza. A tavola si sposa bene con formaggi di media maturazione, mentre in cucina è perfetta per cucinare brasati e cacciagione." - Lorenzo Dabove in arte Kuaska.

from Erzbierschof - pretty clear dark reddish-brown beer with no head retention; notes of cork come first, aroma of wood, vanilla and sour cherries, vinegar; medium- to full-bodied, gently sticky and pretty sourish and astringent; the palate fails a bit short on the end; cork notes dominate the finish in an unpleasant manner; pretty dry

Bottle shared. Pours oily red cola like. Doesn’t look great. Brandy, slightly fruit, some paint. Only slightly sour. Sweet honey background. Not a great sour.

Draught at OEC SourFest, 8/15/15.
Drab olive-chestnut-beige body shows good clarity and a wispy, light beige head that sits around at cover.
Dry, dominating lactic notes in the nose allow some dry caramel, earthy/crusty brown bread-like grain notes and light wood character as well. Some light fruitiness sits on the finish, with plentiful acidity and perhaps a touch of alcohol and vanilla fume.
Extraordinarily dry, astringent flavors show pure lactic acid tartness mixed with dry, grainy, astringent oaky notes and dry, minimal caramel. Absolutely no comfort from the malts, which seem to be completely non-existent here. Horribly out-of-balance, too dry, astringent and with little more than just oak, caramel and lactic acid. Yikes....

At the 8th tasting (round 2), held in Vranovo and Pozarevac. Bottle 2012. Pours a dark brown color with wood-like highlights, no head. Nose: tobacco, cherries, leather, red fruits. Mouth: a bit lack of body, balsamic notes, easy drinking like all the Loverbeer beers. Nice all-in-all.

Bottle; 2009 version; thanks to the legend of ticking madmitch 76. Shared at Clayton’s house with Clayton and Martin; 3rd May 2015. Woodruff, oak, Rodenbach oud bruin aroma. Dark brown and red in colour. Cloudy. Taste is Brett, oak, sour cherries, muscat grape, very like Rodenbach. Great complexity. Drinks incredibly smooth. Nice puckering. Super tasty.
