COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Omaggio alle oud bruin fiamminghe che si manifesta soprattutto all’olfatto nel contrasto tra le note dolci di caramello e quelle acidulo-lattiche. Nel palato i sapori vinosi dalla maturazione in botte ci introducono ad un piacevole fruttato di ciliegia e uva sultanina con un finale caratterizzato da una lieve astringenza. A tavola si sposa bene con formaggi di media maturazione, mentre in cucina è perfetta per cucinare brasati e cacciagione." - Lorenzo Dabove in arte Kuaska.

Bov (9050) - Bienne, - JUN 25, 2013
from Erzbierschof - pretty clear dark reddish-brown beer with no head retention; notes of cork come first, aroma of wood, vanilla and sour cherries, vinegar; medium- to full-bodied, gently sticky and pretty sourish and astringent; the palate fails a bit short on the end; cork notes dominate the finish in an unpleasant manner; pretty dry

Pours a rusty brown color with a trace of gaseous foam. Lots of earthy mushroom, sour vinous fruit and some rustic malt and herbaciousness. Mint, cherry pit, raisin, vinegar, sage, wet wood, ripe compost and a lingering tartness. Interesting beer.

Bottle at Deans impromptu Monday night tasting. Poured a clear murky light brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is zesty citrus sherbet sour. The flavour is strong sour with a smooth wild bretty yeast sour citrus palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. This really impressed me. Plenty of sourness but not to the point that it made you screw up your face. More of the same please.

Brouwerij (884) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Bottle 375mL. Pours dark red brown with pillowy khaki head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is moderately tart, raspberry, cherry, strong oaky. Flavor is strong tart, oaky, lactic, slight char, heavily vinous, with a tart aftertaste. Mild vinegar with a significant sour kick. Better as it warms. Soft carbonation, medium-light body. An oaky, vinous, fairly tart beer.

subcombicio (159) - Marghera, ITALY - DEC 1, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2013 Buona versione di oud bruin prodotta dall?italiano Loverbeer. Molto equilibrata ma nello stesso anche complessa, con note di botte e invecchiamento che ne esaltano l?acido.

Brown amber with no head. Aroma of fruits, sour caramel, some vinegar but seems flat. Taste is Taste of Fruity malt, tart sour caramel. The ale is totally flat, dunno if that is the intention but think i got a blank bottle.
