Torst, NY tap ($12): Pours light amber/brown with a small head. Aroma is wine, grapes, vinegar... basically everything you expect from a sour ale. The aroma is a little better than the taste, which is sour, but not averagely so. There is an underlying woodiness. Slightly sweet aftertaste. I enjoyed it, but it was not all that complex.

Draft at Alla Spina. Pours a murky reddish amber with no head. Nose of caramel, light barn funk, lactic acid, red wine. Average body and carbonation with a light tart finish.

12/10/2012 Ma che siete venuti a fà (tap). Ambrata scura, quasi rossiccia, parecchio torbida, schiuma virtualmente assente. Al naso sentori di lieviti, malto, caramello, dolciastra, carattere vinoso. In bocca caramello, uva, frutta rossa, dolciastra, leggermente acidula. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Forse un po’ troppo giovane e non al meglio. Da riprovare.

On draft at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown DC. Pours a hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of tart apple. Mild caramel notes with tart citrus.

Pours a reddish-brown with a small white head. Aroma of berries, apples, plums, candy, and sweet malts- tart and acidic. Same for the flavor, which hits the same berry and fruity notes.

Bottle. GUSHER. Pours unclear red amber with no head. Aroma is very weak with nut, berries, apple peel, caramel, cheese and wood. Taste is light+ sweet and acidic. Body is light, texture is oily/slick, carbonation is soft. Finish is short and light astringent. I don’t get it at all.

--. Gusherfuck all over the place. Unclear red with no head. Aroma is lactic sour, yogurt, blackberries, light cherries, white grapes, apples. Taste is light/medium sweet and light sour. Light/medium body, watery/oily texture, soft carbonation. Light dry finish close to flavorless but with some light red berries.
