COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oak amber ale. Fermented and maturated only in oak vats. The name "Madamin" is a piedmontese word meaning "young lady". Available in 375 ml or 750 ml bottles. --- Oak Amber Ale. Prodotto ad Alta Fermentazione. Birra dal colore ambrato e dal sapore vinoso, fermentata e maturata esclusivamente in tini di rovere. Prodotta seguendo una ricetta di ispirazione belga. Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 29/04/13. Hazed dark amber with a mahoosive light beige head. Nose lacks depth, sour/tarte fruits, hint of caramel, soured berries, touch of balsamics. Taste comprises tarte berry fruits, lightly soured strawberries, light sugar, touch funky. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Decent enough sour but there are plenty of better ones out there!

Draft at Alla Spina. Pours a murky reddish amber with no head. Nose of caramel, light barn funk, lactic acid, strawberry, raspberry. Average body and carbonation with a mildly tart finish.

Pours dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is sour lemon and yeast. Taste is sour lemon up front. The oak really comes out in the mid palate and everything combines for a mild cherry liqeur and faint vanilla finish. Really good.

On tap in Roma. Pours a bit hazy reddish appearance with a tan head. Lacto, mild vinegar, cherry, vanilla, fairly oaky aroma. Somewhat juicy, rich tart cherry, a bit acetic, oaky, raspberry, slightly juicy, apricot fruity flavor. Pretty interesting but it doesn’t blow my mind.

On tap @Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Some berries and tart aromas, among some hoppy ones. Pours amber, almost clear. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy testure. Taste is mild sourness, fruity, some sweet and caramel. Very well balanced and enjoyable. Really nice one.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2013 Thanks Cecile for letting me try this one! Anyway, poured a dark red body with an off white head. Creamy full aroma, berry jam. Fresh sourish berry-like taste, creamy, slightly vinuous yet without some huge notes of that, the tannins I guess. Surprisingly good stuff, I’d definitely have it again (and again... and again)...

Draft. Hazy amber, tan head. Classic Flemish nose. Taste is typical Flemish ale, light tartness. Good gateway sour.
