Draft at Fermentation. Deep amber red pour with a soapy tan head. Aroma is sour cherries, red wine vinegar, oak and lactic acid. Flavor is oak, tart dried fruits, vinegar and backing caramel malts. Medium bodied with a quick, dry and tart finish. Not bad, just missing some things.

375ml bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Clear, dark cherry red. Halo of dense, cream coloured head. Nose has tangy black cherry. Sweet plum. Plum stone. Notes of vanilla pod and oak. Taste is light sour. Quite drying. Tart, lightly acidic palate. Finishes tart, dry and woody.

Beer is good, but not as the rating average would have it. Aroma is about the best aspect, with a fragrant blend of fruit, vinegar, oak, malt, hint of funk. Flavor’s like nose - tartness is only mildly accentuated by a light carbonation; everything else tapers nicely. Body is good. Appearance ok. I could see a very sharp cheddar or a smoked aged gouda with this. Nice brew.

Alla spina. Fantastica, poco da dire. La gradazione alcoolica č giusta, equilibrato l’acido e la nota vinosa č spettacolare. Un signora birra!

Draft @ in de Wildeman. Reddish amber with a small white head. Aroma of sour fruits, funk, barnyard. Taste is sour sweet, sour fruits, hint of aceton, dry ending with a sour fruity vineous aftertaste. Nice, too bad for the underlying hint of acetone.

At Wildeman on tap. Wow. Just wow. This is the best beer I have tasted this year. Pours an amber somewhat frothy cloudy beer. Perfectly balances sour with sweet. Complex, fresh delicious. I can taste all kinds of things and it keeps tingling on my tongue. Beautiful stuff. Maybe I should buy the rest of the barrel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
