Red grape aroma pervades here- were they trying to make a wine? The oak is light overall with some sourness and slight leather. Appearance is very dark amber/red with bone head. Flavor matches the nose, but with some herbal presence; the finish is sour and vinous overall. Palate is creamy with some prickly bubbles. Solid, not anything too outstanding.

ASPETTO: marrone ambrato molto torbido, schiuma rosata, abbondante, fine e persistente. NASO: acida, agrodolce, fruttata (frutta rossa, soprattutto ciliegie, fragole, fragoline di bosco, lamponi). GUSTO: gli stessi sentori che al naso. Retrogusto un po’ amaro e leggermente barricato. Carbonizzazione purtroppo assente.

Amber-copper colour, light hazy with a frothy off white head. Aromas of malt, wood, overripe fruits, some skunk and wet carton/paper. Fine carbonation, lightly slick, light-medium body. Fruity sourness builds the main theme with funky notes and some skunk. Medium finish.

330 mL bottle, bottled in 2011, bought recently from the bargain shelf at Coaltrain. Dark, cloudy reddish brown, with a big, foamy, tan head. Rich caramel, green apples, light lime, and some brown bread. Semi-sweet and malty, with a sharp, tart bite. Medium body, creamy, lightly acidic, and silky. Quite a nice sour brown, with a slightly dry flavor and luxurious mouthfeel. Doesn’t look like the store aging didn’t hurt too bad.

On tap at TCBW 2016. Hazy amber, dark orange colour. Almost no head. Slight round of froth on top. Berries, vinegar, slight horseblanket in the aroma. Berries at first. Acidicy and vinegar in the middle. Hints of berties again in the end. Do not feel oakiness.
