Black with a way to big beige head. Light sourish smell, fruits, lightly hops . Not totally my thing. Slightly roasted, sour fruits, malts. Not my kind of imp. stout.

Sampled at BBF 2011. Dark brown pour with big beige head. Aroma of chocolate, fruit and a sour note. Flavour has coffee, chocolate, dark fruits and a certain dryness.

Dark brown with almost no head. Malty nose, caramel and raisin. Taste has grapes and bread. And then the sour comes in! Light sparkle. What an interesting brew. Very glad I tried this. (At Borefts)

330ml bottle, 2010, brought back to the true north from Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Cool bottle logo and nice bottle design, including the black neck. Pours a dense, tan-coloured foamy head, slowly fading over a devil-black body. Church windows to the glassware. Semi-sweet nose of cocoa added by a bite of lactose. Cocoa-chocolate taste supported by herbal hops and roastiness. Lingering bittersweet ending of dark fruits. Well balanced and well bodied. Pleasurable brew (Session with Finn, Skibotn 16.09.2011).

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen, shared with Palme and the Bergen Tasting Crew. A regular imp stout from LoverBeer? I have my doubts. Pours a pitch black body with a huge creamy light caramel head. Nose is mostly burnt toast, coffee and lactic sour chocolate hints. Taste is similar: coffee, chocolate, charcoal and hints of cocoa. A nice, dry and slightly sour imperial from LoverBeer. Why am I not surprised? The most annoying thing about their beer is that I keep getting Shaggy’s ragga-classic "Mr. Boombastic" in my head every time I mention their name: "mmm....mista Boombastic...mmmm...mista LovaLova". I never really though cheesy nineties pop hits would be so easily resurrected through weird Italian craft beer. :-)

0.33l bottle shared with ClubGonzo and the rest of Bergen Tasting Crew. It pours a near black body with a aggressive massive creamy chocolate head. Aroma is nice and roasted, it has some lactic milkshake-chocolate notes, coffee, some dark chocolate and a little bit of dry cardboard. It has a oily mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation and medium-bodied. Lots of burned flavors; toast, charcoal, malts and gunpowder. Also some coffee and chocolate in here. A decent stout indeed, and this has to be "the good and proper child" in the LoverBeer family.

Big dark brown head. Opaque black body. Deep earthy chocolatey aroma with funky fruity resiny lacquer notes. Dry-sweet burnt chocolatey barnyard taste with floral herbal notes. Fullish body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry-bitter floral grassy burnt aftertaste with coffee and alcohol notes. Interesting and unusual, but not very harmonic. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)
