Bottle 375ml.

Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, roasted, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20100603]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a fast disappearing brown head. The aroma has notes strong notes dextrose, and roasted malt - a bit burnt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, wood, destrose, and a bit of soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted and dextrose finish.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, dark malty and liqourice. Dark and dry malty flavoured. Bitter, dark roasted malty and breadish. Ends dry and dark malty.

Bottle 37,5 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours an opaque black with a beige head. Sweet hard roasted malt and vanilla in the nose. Medium body, good roasted maltiness - but never burned - sweet licorice. Not much bitterness or alcohol in the finish. A well composed Imperial Stout Lite. 030610

Bottle in a hotel room in Milano. Black coloured with a medium sized brown head. Roasted aroma of dark chocolate and dried fruits with notes of bread and metal and burnt notes. Roasted flavor of oat, dark chocolate and hops. Roasted and hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty licorice and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Bottle @ Domus Birrae, Rome. Pours black with a creamy bubbly beige head. Nose is roast, fruit and berries. Smooth palate. Notes of chocolate, vanilla and vague coffee. Dry bitter and dusty end.

Black color, with medium-high carbonation and very large head. Very interesting aroma, with roasted malts, dark chocolate, wood oven bread, light spices, and light acidity. Well structured, but with a lean and rather dry mouthfeel; good dry flavor of roasted malts, not aggressive, perfectly blended with a moderate sourness, mild vinous character, some dark chocolate. Smoother in the end.
Excellent; elegant.

Draught at Borefts 2011. Fruity aroma, some roasted notes. Almost black colour, quite muddy. The flavour is also roasted and fruity. Late rough bitterness.

(375ml bottle, BB 2013) Pours an opaque black body with a medium grayish ash brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, toasted marshmallow, chocolate, vanilla, nougat, smoke, and grilled meat. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, and light ash with a dry finish.
