A black IPA. Aroma is roasted malts with a hint of citrus and pine. Flavour is similar with more citric hoppiness.

Sweet citrus fruits, orange tangerine, lightly toasted malts and molasses, a hint of pine. Clear, dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light sweet. Some bitterness appearing quickly, floral hops, dark malts, molasses, medium bodied. Very nice Black IPA, not too intense, subtle, well-balanced, fairly light on the hops in the aroma . Keg at the brewery, Henley-on-Thames.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours deep brown, nose is herbal, roasted, weird funk, bit like a lightly chlorinated swimming pool, taste is chewy toffee, roasted, sugary.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2016 Keg at The Hanging Bat. Dark brown, beige head. Nose is dry roast, citrus. Tastes sweet liquorice, citrus hops, soft roast, dark chocolate. Tasty and highly drinkable bipa.

On tap at Nettle & Rye, Bristol 16/2/2016. Hazy and deep brown, with a decent, off-white, head. Orange fruits, red berries, caramel, a touch of toastiness, before a dryish finish with a hint of pine. Good.

Keg at The University Club, Oxford. Dark brown with cream head. Straight in to heavily bittering hops, drying but with a tropical fruit and citric edge. The chocolate and black malts balance out the beer nicely. Full on the palate, rich and a tad jarring but a very decent beer altogether.

Keg at the Lovibonds tap takeover Brewdog Camden. Hazrd chestnut brown coloured pour with a lasting thin cream coloured head. Aroma is nutty malts, light roast, toast, pine resin hop. Flavour is composed of burnt toast, pinch of caramel. Lemon and piney hop, toast in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, medium body, little nice sticky resin, highish carbonation. Good black IPA.

Draught at BrewDog Camden on 19 Aug 2012. Poured a very dark brown, with a dense beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, dried fruit and pine. Bitter roasted malt flavours, with grassy hop and dates. Good, thick mouthfeel. Finish was tar, resin and molasses.

Brewdog Sheps Bush. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is minerally crisp and semi dry. Thin and very mild dark malts, the colour of the beer is a giveaway! Whisper of coffee and dry malt cream. Nice piney hops with lesser citrus and a touch of red berry fruits. Light crisp finish. Dark chocolate malt linger. Not bad.

Keg from BrewDog Shepherds Bush, given the aggressive hoppiness of the brew, this is a very accessible IPA, quiet a taste bomb, lots of complexity on the palette. I really enjoyed this beer, recommended for hop heads

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2012, Parsons Green, London in July 2012 - Black in colour. Hoppy; piney resinous hops. Malty; burnt/roasty malts, caramel, some chocolate, hint of coffee. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Bitter hoppy burnt/roast malty throughout. Overwhelming burnt taste; rather disappointing.
