Our flagship beer, Henley Gold, is a refreshing Golden Ale brewed using some long forgotten techniques. The Maris Otter malt is balanced with a careful blend of English and Continental noble hops.

On tap at the Rake. Light semi crisp palate. Curious bubblegum and banana sweetness. Creamy malt. A little orange in the undertone. If this was a blind tasting I would have marked this as a wheat beer on flavour! Softish dry finish.

Cask conditioned at The Bird in Hand, Henley-on-Thames, Oxon. Golden beer with quickly dissapating head. I found this to be a sweetish perfumey beer, there is a fruitiness quite similar to lychees within the perfume, but little bitterness to balance. Quite decent but not fulfilling.

(WBA) courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear golden-bronze colour with a poor head; estery, aroma of matured banana with a touch of glue; sweet and very tart, medium-bodied; some solvant meet the banana in the finish

Keg at BD Shepherds Bush. It pours clear golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is doughy, cereal, grain and light fruitiness. The taste is smooth, clean, dough, lemon, toast, light floral and some decent bitterness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a whole lot going on, but it is smooth, clean and pretty drinkable.

On tap at the Hinds Head, Bray, Berkshire, 08-08-09 on leg seven of the Thames Tipple. After the initial shock of paying 4.20 a pint I sat down to rate this. Pours mid-gold with a white head. Some cereal on the nose, tangy and fruity with bitterness and touch sweet but not bad. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0
