Bottle picked up at brewery but consumed at Jan & Charlottes, Ulfborg, Denmark. Had this in company of Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella, Loz and Morten 19.05.13 Pours light/mid yellow with nice white head. A good beer, clearly this was always going to come second best when compared with the other sour we had this evening, and yet it was still pretty good especially considering the back story of how this came about. Sour but this has a relatively short finish, the zappy, tangyness is there at the start but a touch muted with a little lemony biscuit on the end. I enjoyed this and the barrel ageing softens this considerably. Good beer. A8 A4 T7 P4 Ov16 3.9

Keg at vintage. Slightly hazy golden with white head. Slightly dusty peppry lemon aroma, light funk. Taste is dusty, peppery, lemon and funk, light yeastiness, some white wine. Crisp and dry, with a very light tart finish. Easy going

Bottle sample at Grote Dorst courtesy of Bill Young, thank you sir! Clear yeallow color, small white head. Aroma of dusty pepper and straw. Taste is highly carbonated sour citrus, apple cider. Oily mouthfeel. Interesting.

75 cl. bottle sampled courtesy of Travlr @ In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst during the Tour De Geuze. Appearance is clear, touch ligher golden yellow with no head. Nose is mellow lightly tart citrus, light melon, hint of yeast, touch fruity, lemon sorbet, light wood, slight sour, light almost cider touch to it. Close to flat, very easy to drink. Excellent & very enjoyable sour.

Bottle @ Stormbird. #121. The pour’s a clear gold color with an effervescent white head. The nose is moldy white grape. Fruit jelly. Mildly acetic lemon tang. A bit of unwashed sock funkiness. The taste is more of the same. Concord grape. Wild yeast. Some barnyard. Only mildly sour. Clean and pretty refreshing. Light body, fine carbonation. Smooth, easy-drinking stuff. Overall, I’m thrilled that Lovibonds decided to finally re-release this much talked about beer. Worth the wait.
