2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ogivlado (4990) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 9, 2012
big green plastic bottle 2000ml. -It can be found in almost every shop or supermarket in Croatia. Pretty cheap (not more than 17kn or 2.30€) so it’s wide spread here. Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, weak hint of grain in the nose. Light malty and grainy with bready notes in the finish. Boring but ok for cheap "every day" beer.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heavy (1956) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 17, 2011
Available previously as 1,5 l plastic bottle, now in 2 l bottles only. Obviously misses "original" in the name as it is probably not brewed under Reinheitsgebot and definitely different recipe than original. It pours pale yellow body with big head. Grainy, lemony and weaker bread malty aroma. Herbal, lemony hop, slightly sourish corny and bread malty flavor, thinner in body with somewhat sweetish to sourish finish. Not bad for a cheap pale lager. Since i initially rated it, Lowenbrau remains my top choice when drinking, giving best ratio of quality over price, while it’s widely available.
Old rating, Sep 03, 2007
Yellow body with moderate white head. Not strong aroma, hoppy. Flavor quite bitter, but it somehow fades soon, as the palate get used to it. Not so good finish, bit soapy. Better than average lager.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 abemorsten (1874) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - JUL 27, 2012
2 l green plastic bottle from Tommy supermarket, Arbanja. Clear sparkling golden body with a small fizzy white head. Light malts and acetone on the nose. Sweet, light alcoholic and papery flavor. Light to medium body. Light syrupy texture. Medium carbonation. Light sickening.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 luttonm (1630) - Belgrade, SERBIA - NOV 19, 2012
.5l can. Fizzy white head on pale orange-yellow body. Slightly sweeter and yeastier nose than most macros here. Tart, dry fizzy bitter over normal wattery sour lager. Could do worse here for sure.
