(bottle) pours a clear golden-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel, pale malts and honey, light grass, herbal hops and a hint of cooked vegetables. flavour is quite meaty and metallic, with only a hint of caramel, sweet spices and a medium-bitter finish. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Pigs Ear. Clear gold beer. Softish palate, a little dry. Sweet malt seamlessly joined up to sweet orange fruit. Finishes soft sweet and with a mild carbonated bite.

Bottle… Clear golden lager with a large, fragile, white head. Malty, nutty, biscuity bouquet. Full-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavor provides a good balance of toffee, biscuit and noble hops – mostly bittersweet. Finishes crisp and lightly bitter.

500ml brown returnable bottle, no apparent best by date.
Pours a nice, rich gold. It is pretty clear with a very nice deepness and a foamy white head that fizzes away with little lacing.
Smells like... a bock, no where in the ingredients does it list wheat. It has a slight nutiness with noble hops and a doughy breadiness.
The taste follows, a robust lager, with more hops than the typical German lager. It has a nice roasty bread taste that lingers and lingers and a mild sweet malt flavor.
It is a decent bock, hard to find though.

Off orange color to it, other than that, a rather standard bock in terms of flavor, with the requisite slight sweetness to it and bready aroma and flavor. A good quality bock.

Tasted from 500 mL bottle at home. Yellow/orange body with a light head. Sweet malty Bock aroma. Nice sweet malty body. Lighter malts with a tasty Bock flavor.

Pour is a bright bronze with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and bready with some caramel. Flavor is a nice intense caramel with some grain and nuts. This was a very nice beer.

Picked up a 0.5 litre bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and film top. Aroma of sweetened breakfast cereal, some light tropical fruit, and some candy gummy fruit. Taste is medium to full bodied, fruity flavors with golden grain malt, a hint of sweet butter, and macadamia nuts. Finish is quite sweet, thick texture with plenty of fruity malt aftertaste with just a light bitterness in the background. A solid Heller Bock throughout.

Sampled on 4/9/2010. This heller bock pours a medium orange gold color from a .5liter bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is bready and sweet, a touch floral. A medium bodied heller bock. The malts are caramel, bready and slightly sweet. The hops are floral and herbal. A medium sweet bock. Nice carbonation. There is also a touch of citrus. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
