Just found this rating from the time I had this beer out of a gravity keg back in October of 2012...
Pours a very hazy deep golden color with a medium sized head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is grassy, actually more grassy than herbal but yes... herbal none-the-less. It’s got a bit of fruity maltiness and the beer is lightly sweet smelling.

The flavor is much like the aroma, crisp and the grassy herbal thing is flipped around. It’s got a lightly spicy horehound like flavor a very nice level of bitterness with some light minerallity. Clean, lightly sweet, and delicious.

The palate is creamy and full, not especially bubbly but not heavy at all.

A pleasure.

Man, I suppose I really liked this stuff.

0,5l Flasche. Dunkelgoldenes Bier mit weissem Schaum. Das Bier richt nach frisch gepresstem Apfelsaft. Antrunk Getreide, dann auch Apfel. Ich mag die schwache Kohlensäure. Überraschend bitteres Finish.

Draft at Lowenbrau in Buttenheim on day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours clear god with a foamy white head. Good aroma, with light grass, grains, cereal. Dry bready flavor, lightly sweet, with faint toasty malts, some toasted grass. Light bodied with average carbonation and massaging texture. Crisp finish with lightly crunchy cereal, light grassy and floral bitterness. Very solid.

Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours pretty much clear golden with a small frothy white head that leaves some sparse sticky trace on the glass. Smell is tiny malty, slightly fruity estery and tiny earthy with whole grain crackers, doughy dark bread, red pears, hay, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is slightly bitter, tiny grainy and slightly fruity estery. Mouthfeel is crisp, slightly dry, tiny sparkling and light bodied. Finish is bitter with whole grain crackers, red pears, hay, minerals and lemon zest. But too estery for me... Reminds me of a fairly dull saison...

Cask at Jeffrey. Pours golden with small head. Nose is bready and light citrus. Tastes of biscuits, lemon, vanilla, some spicy hops. Fine palate not too bad.

On tap at the brewpub "Löwenbräu" in Buttenheim. Don’t really know how it was poured out, because it was served in a pottery "Humpen" with a lid on it (0.5 l of course, what else??). . But the heas was big big and very steady and light creamy. Will reckon that it was a cloudy golden-amber colour. Aroma of hops and straw with malty hints. Taste of mild hops, grains, straw, bread, what, mild biscuits and wheat. Finishes of medium dry with a nice hoppiness. Enjoyed it.

>> Clear golden pour with phenomenal buttercream top. Holy retention of Jesus. Nose is fresh bread, honeydew, noble hops, super fresh spiced bread, fresh gamey clover honey. Taste is a fully malty Helles type with a ridiculously fluffy cloud like mouthfeel, wow. Great malt and bread forward. No funk, no bitterness really. Apple juice character in taste with some odd bitter tannic apple skin for balance with black pepper. Slightly water. Still, very enjoyable.
