(Cask GBBF) Rich and deeply malty . Some grassy hops . Nice bronze shade. Reminded me of Spaten Oktober or something.

Tap @ Brewery, Buttenheim. Ceramic mug. Large foam. Crisp, fresh hops, grassy and floral. Dammn smooth and perfectly balanced. Some buiscuit and wood. Lovely!

Bottle. Sweet butterscotch malt aroma. Clear golden yellow color with minimal head. Lightly sweet malt and moderately bitter dry hay/lemon peel hops. Nice - very hoppy for the style.

0.5 L bottle shared with Rune and Gunnar@Plan B, København. Moderate lacing blond head. Pale straw colored body. Modest aroma of light bready malts and dusty hops. Light sweet and grainy malt flavor. Easy on the hops. Light to medium body. Weak malts and faint bitterness in the fade. Clean and easy, a bit anonymous, though.

500ml bottle shared in happy company at Plan B. Straw coloured body. Tiny head leaving spotty lacework on the glass. Pale malty aroma. Fine balanced flavour of gentle malts and noble hops added by dried fruits. Sweet and dry in the mouth. Clean tasting (Copenhagen, 05.05.2010).

Shared bottle @ Plan B, Copenhagen. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and maybe some diacetyl. Flavour is light sweet, dried fruits and malty, with a tiny amount of grassy hops. Bitter finish

Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 07/08/2009 Pale malt and hop aromas. Golden coloured smooth on the palate and hoppy with a crisp creamy and slightly bitter malt finish.

Courtesy redlight, so cool. Didn’t actually seem very much like a kellerbier, with its crystal golden color and classic clean pilsner profile, but hey, this is one nice beer! Bready with spicy hops ande medium to light bitterness in the finish.

Bottled (as Löwenbräu Buttenheim Kellerbier). Golden colour with mediumsized foamy white head. Leaves slight lace. Aroma is earth, bready malts as well as some mild herbal and grassy notes as well. Flavour is bready malts, some earth, herbs as well as rather grassy in the finish. Pleasantly balanced.

Gravity cask at Redlight Redlight. Pours a mostly clear, medium golden hue with just a slight haze. A small head of smooth white foam leaves some wet spotting on the glass. The aroma is fresh and crisp, with notes of toasty bread, honey, and doughy pils malt being countered by a healthy dose of peppery, grassy hops. Flavors are similarly well balanced, again based in fresh pils malt and glazed bread, with countering notes of earthy, dried grass and floral hops. Medium bodied and even keeled, the palate is as quaffable as they come. Goes down way too easy. I love fresh German lagers!
