On tap at CK for the gravity keg fest. Clear amber golden pour with a low head. Toffee, caramel, and biscuit dominate the nose. The flavor holds a hint of grassy hoppiness, malt grains, toffee malt, biscuit, and dough. Light body with low carbonation. Clean and crisp.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tkrjukoff (3360) - SWEDEN - APR 28, 2012
Bottle 50 cl, SB. Pours clear deep copper amber with a nice beige head. Aroma is malty, grainy, fruity, a bit soapy, sweet and bready. Flavor is acidy fruity and watery in front with more malts and hops in the middle and towards the end. Some sweetness too, but more towards the dry in the end. Finishes longlived dry bitter.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Svesse (5197) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2006
(Draught at GBBF, London, 3 Aug) Colour is golden amber with a white head. Nose is malty with a fresh grassy hop aroma. Same goes for the taste: malty, with a clean, fresh, grassy hop character in the bitter, but smooth, finish. Not overly exciting, but very refreshing.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Maria (9569) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2008
From tap as Löwenbräu Buttenheim Kellerbier. Served in a stone mug. The aroma has floral and malty notes. The flavour has a light sweetness with smooth malty notes and a nice, fruity bitterness and the finish is slightly dry with notes of grapefruit. Later on I had it from bottle, and it was not nearly as charming or crisp as this one.

Draft at GBBF ’06. Golden colour with a white head. Faint aroma. Slight sourness. Not very bitter. Nothing remarkable here, but immensely easy to drink
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2004
Tap@GBBF04’. This was OK. On the dry side, bready malts, grassy, herbal hops, slightly floral and fruity. Unlike others i didn’t think this was dull, quite drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 bhensonb (8995) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 1, 2008
0.5 L bottle from the Walnut Creek BevMo. Copper tinged golden color with a decent, but transient, white head. Mild noble hop aromas over pale malt. Thin to medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is bready sweat with spicey hop definitely balancing. Finishes rather dry with little peppery hop notes. So where did AB go so wrong? Skimped on ingredients (except for water). At least that’s my bet.
