Draft. Heavy malt aroma. Flavours include anice amount of hops, with a thought out balance of malt, and a nice bitter finish. Went great mit weisswurst und kartoffel salat.

Brown beer with a thin off-white head. Smell is nicely malt, toasty, with toffee, faint plum and brown sugar. Flavour is chewy, malty and toasty. A bit of distracting hop skunkiness in spite of the nice maltiness. Herbaceous flavour mixed with toasted malt. Finishes with light toast and noble hop flavour.

tap at the bavarian. pours a dark brown with a fat head. aroma is sweet roast malt. taste is cotton candy and caramel, boat loads of caramel, some roasted almost, but not quite burnt taste in the finish. nice balance of medium bitter in the finish also. highly carbonated enjoyable brew even if it is a bit oversweet.

Darker copper coloured with a small tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, some caramalised sugars, a bit of pit fruit and a fragrant nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Mild malt flavour throughout with a subtle hint at those pit fruits with more of a stronger taste with the nuts. Aftertaste lasts long in the palate with some of the bittering agents dropping in longer. Overall, a decent dunkel, nothing superlative, but great to try! I sampled this on draught on 07-June-2004 in Sydney, Australia at the Lowenbrau Restaurant on ’The Rocks’.

I was really expecting to hate this. Drank it at the Addison Oktoberfest and the dipshits pouring the beer left no head. Nice roasted malt characters and it went down nice and smooth.

Burnt copper body with a thick creamy head. Smells lightly of malts, barley. Tastes of malt, light english hops, soda water. Hoppy aftertaste. Not much flavor. Sampled on draught at the Lowenbrau restaurant at the Rocks in Sydney, Australia.
