This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Powertrip (999) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 20, 2011
Single bottle purchased at the Alpinhotel Kron Prinz in Bertchesgaden, Germany on 11/20/2011. Colour: Dark brown with high foamy but thin yellow head. Nose: Malt smells roasted but to a sour degree. Yeast and coca-cola together in harmony...well together anyway. Corn appears strong after much swirling. Taste: Light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. There is a some toasty wood that shows early but then it fades into strong corn profile. Simply not a great dunkel...to me anyway.

Burnt copper body with a thick creamy head. Smells lightly of malts, barley. Tastes of malt, light english hops, soda water. Hoppy aftertaste. Not much flavor. Sampled on draught at the Lowenbrau restaurant at the Rocks in Sydney, Australia.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blank (997) - Austin, Texas, USA - FEB 9, 2005
on tap in Berlin. The best of the group. I happen to like dunkels, and so does german. Good solid mix of flavors.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - APR 10, 2007
Sweet, roasted. The alcohol comes in surprisingly hard. Actually it is quite strong for a dunkel. Not far from some mildest dunkler bocks, yet a bit thinner. Nice smooth mouthfeel like other Lowenbräu’s I’ve had.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tomciccateri (885) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - DEC 26, 2007
On draught a a Munich restaurant, pours a deep clear mahogany color with a thick white head. Medium-bodied with a dark malt flavor, slight molasses/brown sugar character. Late dryness, a bit heavy. Overall - so-so.
