On tap. Aroma is malty and some caramel. Appearance is dark amber with a small, fast decreasing brown-ish. Taste is slightly bitter and sweet. Leaves a nice bitter mouthfeel. Overall a very unusual dark beer. I like it.

Brown beer with a thin off-white head. Smell is nicely malt, toasty, with toffee, faint plum and brown sugar. Flavour is chewy, malty and toasty. A bit of distracting hop skunkiness in spite of the nice maltiness. Herbaceous flavour mixed with toasted malt. Finishes with light toast and noble hop flavour.

Dark coca-cola colored, little yellow head. Rich aroma with sweet roastiness and some nutty caramel. Medium bodied. Flavor is also nicely sweet with chocolate and toffee, aftertaste dries mildly. This nutty touch reminds me of some German doppelbocks. Crispy palate, surprisingly good dunkel.

Dark brown with a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, light hints of nuts and the finish is dry. It seems so malty clean in the overall impression.

Sweet, roasted. The alcohol comes in surprisingly hard. Actually it is quite strong for a dunkel. Not far from some mildest dunkler bocks, yet a bit thinner. Nice smooth mouthfeel like other Lowenbräu’s I’ve had.

Fruity, mostly apple. Nice, Drinks like water almost, nice and smooth but not a pretty color. At the Löwenbräu Keller in München.

Draught. Dark amber with a medium offwhite head. Aromaof caramel and malt. Flavour is quite deep sweet, roasted notes of caramel. Finish is dry and similar to beers with stronger alcohol content

Dark brown colour. Tastes of burnt sugar and roasted malt and is a bit on the sweet side.

Tap. Brown with off white head. Malty aroma. Malty taste, caramel, chocolate, bit of banana in the finish. Bit thin

Burnt copper body with a thick creamy head. Smells lightly of malts, barley. Tastes of malt, light english hops, soda water. Hoppy aftertaste. Not much flavor. Sampled on draught at the Lowenbrau restaurant at the Rocks in Sydney, Australia.
