Gutes Bier! Test vom 31.8.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,10,9,9,10 - 9,80

EithCubes (4702) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 26, 2012
Bottle (same label, but 5.2%). Very sweet and malty nose, pours a hazy amber with a sudsy beige head. Taste is very sweet with a little diacetyl and watery (but still tasty!) malt, little in the way of caramel or roast or earth, but there is a nice fruity undertone. Very smooth, slippery light body, just a hint of hop citrus at the back end.

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 10/2011)
Slightly hazy amber color, mostly vanishing small head. Berryish, caramelly and grainy aroma. Light bodied. Grainy, a bit caramelly and tart flavor. Not too fresh bottle from Bierzwerg.

Maria (10124) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2011
It’s dark amber with a huge, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of caramel, malt and light fruit. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, light fruit, and the finish is dry with a light bitterness. It’s a full-bodied beer.

Oakes (12167) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 19, 2009
Only a slight haze to this amber-brown beer. The aroma leans towards breadcrust - a fairly full malt nose. Has a toasty character with bready malts. Perhaps a bit thin, but a nice beer.

Bottle, thanks to joss for sharing. Hazy rusty orange-copper with lasting cap. Aroma of bread, honey, molasses, liquid bread. The body doesn’t live up to the smell. Is thin, and watery and does not deliver what the aromas promise as far as liquid bread. It’s clean, though.

Bottle:Chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, mid-sized loose off-white head, that quickly collapses; dryish malty-barnyardy aroma with a nutty and a fruity touch; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy; short dryish nutty-fruity finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite O.K. .....

MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUN 7, 2009
(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a big and light-beige foamy head. Sweet toasty malty aroma with notes of toffee and subtle berry-fruity notes. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Slightly toasted malty base with a tinge of berries, toffee and a whiff of hops; rather slim, slightly sweet and minimal bitter finish, again with subtle fruity notes. Not as sour as the last time I sampled it. Nothing special (07.VI.09).
