Draft. I have no idea of the color or clarity since it was served in a clay jar, but the head was fine. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of straw, and the flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel and hops. OK, but a bit boring.

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 10/2011)
Slightly hazy amber color, mostly vanishing small head. Berryish, caramelly and grainy aroma. Light bodied. Grainy, a bit caramelly and tart flavor. Not too fresh bottle from Bierzwerg.

Oakes (12723) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 19, 2009
Only a slight haze to this amber-brown beer. The aroma leans towards breadcrust - a fairly full malt nose. Has a toasty character with bready malts. Perhaps a bit thin, but a nice beer.

bierkoning (10386) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2002
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2007 Bottle. Creamy head. Aroma has oak and hops. Just a bit of a barnyard smell. Both hoppy and malty flavor with caramel and apple. A bit herbal. (6 4 6 2 11 = 2.9) Brewery tap. Served in an old Steinkrug. Characterful beer with a caramelly malty flavor with flowery hops. Bitter aftertaste. Hint of butter. Very well brewed.

Maria (10173) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2011
It’s dark amber with a huge, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of caramel, malt and light fruit. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, light fruit, and the finish is dry with a light bitterness. It’s a full-bodied beer.

pivnizub (8927) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 20, 2009
Bottle:Chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, mid-sized loose off-white head, that quickly collapses; dryish malty-barnyardy aroma with a nutty and a fruity touch; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy; short dryish nutty-fruity finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite O.K. .....
