Only slight maltaroma. A little bit soapy. Malty, flowery taste with some hopbitterness. Bit watery. Average and uninspiring vollbier.

Golden clear color, small white head. Strange aroma of warmed "oven apple".Light to medium-bodied. Blackcurrant, apple, sweet maltyness. Some lingering bitterness. I can drink this but feels a bit unclean.

Maria (8589) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2011
It’s hazy yellow-golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt and flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, light caramel, flower and bread, and the finish is slightly dry – it’s both soft and refreshing.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, medium-sized white head, that slowly diminishes; light to moderate malty and a bit chalky-dusty nose with some hayish hops underneath; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; shorter bitter - with some citrousy notes - malty finish. Well crafted Helles from Franconia........

MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2009
(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Discreet aroma: delicately sweet malty nose with shy grainy and hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Pale malt-character with notes of cara-malt, slightly chalky and grainy taste with herbal hops; slightly bitter and metallic finish. Still okay (05.VI.09).

A clear golden/yellow colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hops, sweet malt and fruits. The taste is malty, with hopbitters and citrus/orange flavors. The aftertaste is a little bitter.

Ungstrup (24024) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 19, 2007
Bottled. A dark yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, the caramel note lingers for some time. Very mainstream.
