Bottle from Dan Murphy. Pale golden, bready/grainy malt typical of the style, slight metallic/tinny aroma and flavour, some grassy hop notes, medium body, alcohol warmth lingers.

(Bottle) The scent and taste is sweet malt and alcohol, with a slightly metallic tone. Not a beer I would call tasty, but it is not entirely undrinkable.

Nice balance of hops and sweetness - some alcohol there in the finish, which is quite sweet. Nice beer.

500 ml can; Pale gold colour; Smallish head with thin white foam which dissipate quickly; Medium body, minimal lacing with active carbonation; Sweet and pleasant aroma of light malt, orange, citrus, straw and grain ; Taste of sweet malt and grass; Oily and fluid palate with slight tartness; Hop bitterness is noticeable but pleasant. Lingering hoppy and dry after taste. Pretty nice feeling.
Comments: a pretty nice Oktoberfest. Small head aside, its smell and taste do not disappoint if not spectacular. Its nice sweetness and hoppiness keep me going. A good beer for gathering and good times.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2013 Poured a bright golden color, a little lighter color than I expected for a Märzen. A slightly off-white head that settled quickly. A spicey hop smell that makes you think "pilsner," but also has buttery aroma. (Couldn’t wait to taste this one!)
Large malty flavor, but a little more hop presence than I was expecting. Not too much at all, just a little more than most Märzens. A very nice touch. That buttery smell works right into the palate as well with a good, long aftertaste. Medium bodied. Carbonation is there, but soft. Reminds me of beers I’ve had from nitro cans. No dryness to speak of, just sticky sweetness. Lovely!
There is absolutely no mistaking this is a Märzen, but interestingly different because of the up-front hops. Maybe not my first choice in an Oktoberfest lager, but definitely worth having.

Golden yellow beer with a thin white head. A good lager and it’s delicious after a hot sauna. Juotu suulisniemessä!

Golden colour with a white head. Moderate sweet nose with some hoppy notes. Medium body. Moderate sweet and and a fresh bitterness. Malty flavour with some fruity notes.

Tasty beer that is a classic of this style. Will definitely buy this again next fall time

Clear deep straw color with a small white head.
Fresh light malt aroma, mild grassy and floral hop.
Clean malt flavors, sweetish, lo bitterness, some grains and bread.
Medium bodied, balanced, nothing special, true to style.

Die Farbe des Löwenbräu Oktoberfestbieres ist zu hell geraten. Das Aroma ist verhalten nach Hopfen & Malz. Im Antrunk recht vollmundig und malzig. Zwar kommt noch eine gewisse Hopfenherbe auf, aber das süßliche Malz dominiert. Wahrlich nicht schlecht. Ich empfinde es als ziemlich ausgewogen ohne Schwächen oder Stärken. Eher etwas langweilig. Da der Alk.Gehalt recht gut abgepuffert ist, kann man davon auch ne Maß mehr trinken. Not bad!
