2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jaghana (1804) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - JUL 18, 2010
Bottle 50cl. A clear yellow beer with huge carbonation and white head. Smell is heavy on nuts and lager yeast. Aroma is very classic, bit sweet, no wrong taste, ok for a lager some hopy grassy finish.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 arminjewell (2446) - Parker, Colorado, USA - JUL 15, 2010
Pours golden with white head, aroma has some skunky malt and bread. Taste is a bit of malt sweetness from the bread, but not much else and finishes clean. A bit above the average of the style
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jodah52 (205) - Michigan, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Pours light gold, small white head. Good bready malt and floral hop aromas; this one actually gets pretty pleasant as it gets a bit warmer. A bit thin taste and mouthfeel. No real off-flavors. Good job making a quite light, drinkable beer at 5.2% abv with decent flavor.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 progressive (62) - Lahti, FINLAND - JUN 30, 2010
[4,5 %, 0,5 l can]
Roasty caramel malt, very nice CREAMY END! Not much hop, but still very tasty. Very little bitternes, but there is some, some time after drinking, but not badly at all. Somehow makes you drink more and more :P
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TreborWhip (297) - Reading, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2010
Bottle poured into pilsner glass. Pours a brilliantly clear medium gold with a fine, white lace. Pure malt flavoring with hop balance. Finish is dry and malty. The Lowenbrau I had at Oktoberfest in Munich in 1975 was much better.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 gyllenbock (1608) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 29, 2010
50 cl can.
Golden with a white head. Sweet taste with chemical notes, typical "industrial beer". Not that good to be honest.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 28, 2010
The original, sold in Japan. A pretty nice malt character for a beer that is relatively light. Light body, easy to drink, not a lot of hopping, and thus a touch sweet. Pretty good, and definitely malty, but rather non-descript. Much nicer than the Japanese-made licensed variety, though.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 durhambeer (2028) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Found this in my in-law’s refrigerator, so it probably wasn’t at its freshest. Poured clear golden with decent white head. Nose is slightly skunky, with typical German malts and hops. Nothing exciting here, but easy to drink.
