Unlike the picture here, my Lowenbrau came in green bottles (boo!). Fortunately, my sixer was fresh so no problems with skunk. Glowing golden color. Large but mostly diminishing head leaves fine lines of lace. Aroma of bready malts and slightly citrusy hops. Crisp front. Slightly sweet middle--mostly malt, a hint of lemon spiciness. Gently bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Brisk carbonation. A clean, refreshing helles. Very underated, in my opintion.

Nothing special about this beer. Golden in color, and bland aroma. Pretty bland thoughout come to think of it.

Looks like a typical lager from bavaria, exept the short foam. It smells like a combiation of cauliflower and vanilla. Taste very commersial of malt and DMS. And the bitterness is very late in the taste.

Bottle. A light golden color with a laced white head. Fairly smooth and clean with a light malt body.

Great Lager. I was very impressed, went down smooth, no bad aftertaste and overall nice beer, not bad for a long neck. Can't wait to down a draught. Good balance between taste and ABV! ;)

1/4 draught: Poured clear yellow with fine carbonation and huge white head. Great malty aroma with lovely euro hop smell too. Nicely balanced taste with a thin-medium body. Great presentation at the pub (Lowenbrau Keller in Sydney).

Not super, but alright. Average, mild lager taste, not a skunky as some others. Pretty smooth, yet not particularly impressive.

Aroma is assertively hoppy, and a bit grassy, attractively so...Color is standard pale gold, but the pocked head was quite healthy and left clingy honeycombed lace--quite attractive...This has a mild hop profile; malts providing faint flavor support but rather more to the body...The finish is medium-dry with a light hop tang...Overall, this falls about in the middle of the pack for this style, but I got a kick drinking the German edition of this famous brand for the first time in about 25 years...

I preferred the premium pils. I thought I'd hit a winner with Lowenbrau, but peoples tastes differ - so too must the beers to cater for them.

A mild bodied slightly hoppy lager. Better than the Miller product that bears the same name.
