UPDATED: DEC 25, 2006 Clear yellow color with a thin white head. Light corn aroma, watery taste. Sweet in an apple sort of way taste. Not good, but not really that bad. Old rating: On tap: Not as bad as I thought it would be. Solidly beats out mass produced Canadian (and of course American) Lagers, but not really good in any way. I’ll never buy one again.

really not very impressive. Pours a decent head, but has a distinct lack of flavor and poor finish.

College memories! My roommate had a neon Lowenbrau sign in the room. Overpriced and under flavored. Touch of bitterness blended with the hops and malt. Nothing stands out, but this is a bit better than the normal mega brew.

Creamy weak white head. Color is a pale yellow. Aroma is balanced between hop and malt, but very weak. Flavour is moderately sweet, a bit watery, ending in a very short hoppy finish. Medium bodied.

When I was in college (Alice Cooper was big), Lowenbrau was a beer you felt like putting on a tie to drink. That was a long, long list of beers ago. To this day, it beats the hell out of MilBudCoors, but is lame as compared to most German beers. Overpriced too, of course. Nostalgia counts for something - but only so much.

This is not even close to as good as other English brews. Totally not worth the price.

{*Rating for canned version*} Smelled pretty poor,I just had a taste of my pal’s beer. The head was pretty frothy, but decided not to stick around for long. Somewhat foul, and apparently ’tinny’ aftertaste.

I was not a big fan of this at all. Very light, bitter and skunky aftertaste.

This is one sick beer. Tastes like perfume... can’t get that nasty perfume aftertaste out of your mouth when you drink one. I cannot drink this without making that bitter beer face. Now, I assume this one has a different looking bottle than the one pictured up there, i assume its that green bottle with the light blue turqouise label?

Big disappointment. Fizzy and light, like Becks, although not as weak.
