I used to drink quite a bit of this but it seems harder to find, as if the cowardly lion ran away at the onslaught of the microbrews. But it still is a decent lager, its crispness settling into unfortunate sour notes if you leave it go.

The kind of beer I would kick back with. No knife and fork here, but not all situations call for stout.

My Lowenbrau had a big hoppy nose, kind of like some English beers I’ve tried. Maybe it’s the same hops? Anyway, the flavour didn’t live up to the nose, and it was an overall good but not great beer.

one of those beers that is not to harsh and enjoyable to drink, a nice german pilsener.

An underated and really good beer. I especially like the motley crue story about how this helped with their name. Good beer.

Why can’t they sell it in Britain?

Got this in Germany figuring, ’hey, maybe it’s OK here.’ Wrong. Sour, terrifying swill.

A mild, yet flavorful beer. Thank god that it is back to the original recipe, not the Miller interpretation.
