A decent mass produced beer this is. Decent hoppy aroma, nice looking with a nice white lace, a bit malty and sweet in the back. Refreshing for summer, good enough for winter. But an industrial beer nnonetheless, even when germans have good quality standards.

500ml Bottle - Please note this si the German one not a bottle brewed under licence. It pours a proper golden yellow with a thick white head that dispearses leaving a thin white lace. Its aroma is sweet grass with a whaft of malts. The sweetness is not apparant in the taste but the malts and grass are passing to a dry bitter end. A very nice lager indeed.

Keg at Lion and Unicorn. Pale gold colour. Not much aroma. Some sweetness and a bit of maltiness, some corn too. It's just very bland, it's has a little more body than it could have had given that it taste of very little. A bit sweet, a touch malty, just nothing really. That said, there are poorer lagers out there.

Had a can in Tiberias. Not bad for a mass market beer in this style. Drinkable but nothing special.

500 ml can bought at 7-Eleven somewhere in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Piss pale golden colour; Explosive head and bready white foam which last for 3 minutes; Good sticky lacing and notable, minimal carbonation; Aroma of full malt, bread, honey, apple and light grass; Minimal sweet taste of malt, bread, hint of apple and faint trace of grass; Mid to light body, thin but crisp palate; Hoppiness is extremely low: very slight on nose and citrus, almost no bitterness but has detectable astringency for a lowly finish; Slighty dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: A very standard macro Helles with excellent head and looks plus decent malty and honey palate. Otherwise it’s not that outstanding, yet nothing offensive, either. A highly quaffable and mindlessly enjoyable alternative to the crappy Asian macro lagers. A bit pricey for a macro, though.

Birra senza particolari difetti, easy drinking, ma senza particolari punti di forza. Buona da bere in estate, per chi vuole una birra buona ma senza grosse pretese.

Pale yellow with quickly dissapearing foam head. Aroma is quite malty, taste same with high sparkling carbonation. (COuld be glass this was served in). Aftertaste is quite long lasting, typical German beer. (Münich 201305)

I guess this is the typical, classic German lager. Fairly sweet. Caramel malts. Underhopped. Simplistic and boring.
