UPDATED: MAY 6, 2006 Bottled, blind tasting lager tasting with Bitburger and Heineken. Pale yellow, fully diminishing fizzy white head. Sweet honey and grainy, floral, and lightly fruity aroma. Cereal and toasty malts with a floral bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel.

Aroma is skunky (my 330ml bottle was green) ala Moosehead. Good bubbly head but with little lacing. Typical golden colour with bubbles firing at the head. Taste is rather plain and finish rather bitter. A good beer when not tasting but taking it to the next level.

Not bad at all. I thought this might be a pretender to the standard quality of German beers, but this came through leaving a solid impression. The usual slightly bitter finish, good mouthfeel.
Not bad at all

This beer is smooth even with the typical german bitterness. It has a lighter easy going taste that anybody can enjoy

Straw body, white head, malt-accented nose. Much better than the Canadian-brewed version, which had a cloying sweetness to it. Clean tasting, thin, not something I'd buy much.

This is one of those grocery store beers you buy cause it is on sale and you are too lazy to go to the liquor store to buy better beer. The lable is nice. Your standard import that has been Americanized, but still above most US macros.

I really like Lowenbrau alot. It is crisp and clean tasting, meduim bodied, goes down easily and does not lose its flavor at any point during the tasting. I would drink this again along with the dark.
