1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Weird bitterness. Every time I think of this, I think of that Motley Crue behind the music, so the whole damn thing's ruined right there. Drink this and Nikki Sixx will show up at your house with a syringe and the next thing you know your heart's stopped. Seriously, though, weird bitterness here that I didn't like. Perhaps I got an old bottle, last time I had this stuff it came from the ghetto grocery store I was working at after classes.

the aroma is quite a sweet malt flavour. it is perhaps a tiny bit watery in taste, but there are lots of flavours there. it leaves a nice bitter and malty taste on the back of the tongue.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweet malt aroma. Pours a darker straw colour with a rapidly diminishing thick foamy head. Lighter body than I remember but still much better than the old Miller or Molson copies that were around years ago.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Slightly sweet aroma that wasn't skunky because it came directly out of a light-proof six-pack box. Flavour is just straight medium level bitterness. Has a reasonable finish. Very average.

I can remember when this was being brewed in the USA by Miller, but I'm glad to see it's back overseas, where it began. Anyway, it poured out a golden yellow color, with a slight haziness to it. Had a decent enough head on it, but didn't last too long. Slightly bitter taste to it, with a metallic finish to it as well. It did taste of malts, and a slight fresh hay quality to it also. Had bitterness aplenty. Finished kind of thin, however. A better pilsener than most on the market.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Light mild adjuncty aroma. Very little hops. Something medicinal or detergent-like. Light yellow straw clear with no head. Light watery body and almost flat. Adjunct flavor - light hops with unpleasant bitter finish. Muted corn sweetness and aspirin-like bitter after. Pretty bad beer.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I'm comparing this to the Lowenbrau that used to be brewed by Miller. Compared to that this is heaven.

Unlike the picture here, my Lowenbrau came in green bottles (boo!). Fortunately, my sixer was fresh so no problems with skunk. Glowing golden color. Large but mostly diminishing head leaves fine lines of lace. Aroma of bready malts and slightly citrusy hops. Crisp front. Slightly sweet middle--mostly malt, a hint of lemon spiciness. Gently bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Brisk carbonation. A clean, refreshing helles. Very underated, in my opintion.
